Hi!

No I don’t think anything can be “fried” in tha hihat pedal system. It is quite secured and controlled.

Check the cables and do the universal trick to reserve the hihat pedal when doing the calibration, e.g when calibrating closed you physically keep the hihat open and when in open mode you press down the hihat to closed. This will make it to reset and hopefully wake it up.

Just some input...

The trigger to midi part on DrumIt is around 3 ms...so the latency will mostly be generated in the VST + sound card. But a better pc, sound card with native ASIO drivers will most often be the solution to bring down the latency.

Hi!

The mask setting is available on all triggers/inputs.

The 'snare' can have 3 sounds/triggers? What is an example of this? I recall on my old DM10 module I could use velocity switching between rim shots and cross stick sounds. Is this what you mean?

A plain Yamaha 3 zone pad like XP120T etc will do the trick...it is built like their 3 zone cymbals.

Here is one example: https://goo.gl/images/oZBfKt

Good question!

The DI3 can handle up to three sounds/triggers on some of the channels like the snare or the three cymbal channels.

Most often a 3 zone ride is using a piezo/switch/switch implementation. For an example the Roland cy-15R which have two stereo outputs...piezo + edge switch on one connector...and piezo + bell switch on the other connector. But in the case of CY-15R...it has only one master piezo...so the piezo signal is sent twice to the di3 on A and B channels.

Looking on a Yamaha ride cymbal, they are sending piezo, switch, switch on one stereo channel...using a 10k resistor to differentiate the switch signals and through this create three triggers..

So basically the DI3 design can only handle up tp three sounds per channel. The x B inputs is just a part of a channel. So the maximum are 3 sounds per logical channel...

But I agree that it would have been nice if DI3 could have added a 4th sound slot on each logical channel...but it is not like that!

Hallo!

Haben Sie Beispiele für Wave-Dateien, die nicht konvertiert werden können?

Hi!

Was it possible to run it in def mode at all?

My guessing: the pedal is slightly out of range in impedance...the reason is that the raw value is very high. (Like over 950+)

You could try add a resistor on the tip connection (so the pedal tip signal runs through the resistor) you could try to add a resistor value between 2 to 8 k ohm and see if it improving the signal.

my friend, i really dont understand what that means (clipping all 5 metal pins, and soldering each one "by itself”

This is the way to do it for components with several solder connections/pins (like circuits...or encoders etc) ...if trying to take them away by handsoldering. Trying to heat all pins at the same time and try to bend off the old encoder will probably end up in a damaged board.

When all pins are removed you could easily clean up the holes and then be able to install the new encoder.

Hi!

Regarding your hh issue I must say it sounds real strange. My feeling is that the Three is very stable when using it in 2box mode or Def for Rolands. I am guessing you have the same experience with the go Edrum controller in def model. This is valid if not moved etc.

However, I have never tried anything in Alesis mode - a question - do the hh edge trigger work when raw is stucked before doing the calib again?

It looks like 2box have the Alesis Crimson series, DM 10 series and Alesis Pro X lister under the supporter hi-hats in the documents.

Have You tried it in def mode?

The deliveries of the New mk2 module will start in April, the price will be about $200 more than DI3.

I can’t see if there is any disti for Australia ... but there is one in New Zeeland. http://www.southpacificmusic.co.nz

You could ask Allan at digitalDrummermag.com about disti in Australia...he knows!

 :patbat2box:

I like to create stuff...(no surprises to many of you who have bought my conversion modules)

This time I created my own hi-hat pedal control. (!)

Have a look:
https://youtu.be/VteR6QWk5EA

It is IR based, no external PSU, 3D printed design and adopted to 2box native hi-hat support.

As said, I was just fiddling around for fun..and I am not sure it will be a product for the market.
But it was fun!

Ok.

Just a note...if not getting the edge sound...the pedal ampere (mA) range is out of scoop. Edge and pedal are tied together on the same connections.

You could maybe get some ideas about the magnet if studying the Hall effect circuit which is used ... https://www.allegromicro.com/en/Products/Magnetic-Linear-And-Angular-Position-Sensor-ICs/Linear-Position-Sensor-ICs/A1391-2-3-5.aspx

Hi!

You are safe. I also got this and after discussing with mr Lustark it turned out that it was a file in the 32 bit installation which false alarms. If you installed the 64 bit version the file is not even copied etc.

Hi!

You can try to set the sens and curve for the pedal on the hset page.

Test to set the sens to -4 or -6 and the curve to neg1 or neg2....i am always doing this to get the hh pedal to react in more slow and in a wider range.
