Hi! Even if going over midi the hi-hat on 2box still needs to be calibrated...because the midi adjusts the internal hihat engine. I also have to check about the last midi note on the hihat - if it was addressable over midi...there were something special here...

Hi!

I would check UNIT – SPEC page and see if the GAINR parameter is set to on. (Set it to off)

“GAINR” (gain reduction) allows you to decrease the selected channel’s sensitivity. This function may come in handy for pads that deliver a powerful signal. Together with the “GAIN” parameter on the “UNIT-TRIG” page, this allows you to specify the optimum input sensitivity.

Please bear in mind that this function is only available for the hi-hat and cymbal 1~3 channels.

Hi!

Check the KFNC page (page down when in the settings mode) and that the hhpos is set to off.

The speedlight kit with either the Three or MKII module is maybe a good choice...if you want to buy it from a retailer with financing. The original Five starts be hard to find and buy new with it orange pads...

The MKII module have some small advantages like bigger memory and a sd card slot...so if you want to add own sounds more easily - the MKII is a good choice.

My 64 gb card is a sandisk extreme 120mb/s...and have been working fantastic.

It looks like these bigger cards are more forgiving in terms of latency etc to what we have been used to in the past.(but this of course just feeling - not any science behind )

Hi!

I just made a test with my MKII and OS 1.36.3 against a my Mac/Logic X over midi.

I recorded the midi stream from my 2box/Hihat (playing on bow/edge + pedal ) first...and then replayed it back over midi to my 2box module. According to my tests this is working great!

So I don’t think a Hihat stream from a another module would be any problem. (Note: But the Hihat pedal in the 2box module needs to have been calibrated in advance - otherwise the pedal mapping won’t be right) - could this be your problem?

So, I can just confirm That it I s working to receive midi streams on my 2box module with advanced pedal and hh patterns. No problems here.

I was fiddling around with Drumit Manager 1.6.0 and ended up in making a video recording on the basics around the software and what you can do with the tool.

The DrumIt Manager is really a fantastic tool, if you want to move, change and edit your 2box settings and sounds!

There is another thread somewhere on this forum...(probably SDSE related) where we discussed this issue. It was related to all drumits. One of the outcomes was the decay parameter. The problem affects SDSE generated samples from some VST vendors. (Not all)  I know I did something similar to what you did..,trimming down the samples and layers...but without any bigger success. We also had a discussion about the default tune settings for samples in 2box.

HI!

Here's what you can try to solve latency:
- try changing the Decay on your 2box from "infinite" to 10 for all pieces in your kit, it was found to help a lot. (Start with the hi-hat sound)

Hi!

It was showing up a couple of weeks ago. There has been some discussions on a German sites about the offering. I know that 2box had another oem coming up...besides the KAT relationship - so it is definitely this joint venture that resulted in the Fame module.

I was looking for any support page for this module...to see more about content and softwares etc but can’t find anything.

General 2box Drumit 5 forum / Re: 5 different size toms. 4 imputs
« on: February 28, 2021, 06:44:03 AM »
Hi!

You have 4 dual toms input on the DrumIts. (Head and rim) In this case you could split the Tom 4 input into two toms. (You will only get the head trigger on these toms without rims) Then all together you will get 5 toms with different sounds)

You could also split one of the cymbal inputs to do something similar.

Using a tm2 could also work to get the fifth tom - but going through midi to DrumIt will not permit more toms sounds as output. The sound engine in the drumits will only handle max 4 tom sounds. If you use the sound engine in tm2 - you will add a fifth tom...but it is not connected to the DrumIt at all.
