I stopped by the KAT booth at NAMM and talked a bit with Mario (great guy I've known for years). He set me up on the DrumKat XL ... pretty nice to play. I noticed right away the sounds were Very Good ... very acoustic sounding .... I didn't realize til later when Alan Leibowitz pointed it out that the new KAT sound module on display is actually a Drumit 3 rebranded .... a very good match up really for Alternative Mode... With the Open Sound Source architecture Mario can built and load all his own samples/instruments into it. Apparently what he is doing. And the module is setup already ..... for example ... plug in the new TrapKat XL and all the pads are assigned, trigger parameters are set .... Plug n Play.

The Stealth Dual Zone Amber Acrylic Snare contains my new ISM-6 trigger system. 3 head and 3 rim sensors make this one a drum that picks up everything, no ghost notes are missed, and no double triggering. It really is the best triggering snare I have ever built. Customers that have used my ISM-6 conversions say the same. And those that have owned my ISM-6 converted drums and the aTv aDrums say mine perform equivalent.
5.5 X 14" with my new durable clear rim guard and GoEdrum mesh head (my favorite mesh head to date). $350 shipping included in the CONUS
Contact me for details on purchasing and for shipping quotes outside the US.

This is the 3rd Stealthdrums.com video demo in the last few weeks of a CRX Air cymbal pack with my Stealth Cymbal Conversions installed along with the full ISM-6 Drum Kit Conversion Pack. This time it is all built and tweaked for the 2Box Drumit module. I recently did similar videos along with the Pearl Mimic Pro and Roland TD-17 drum modules. Thanks for watching. Jman

This is the Stealth 16" Ozone Chokable Crash. Pictured with the 3 zone style 2Box trigger installed but just let me know if you prefer and I will change the trigger to a 2 zone chokable type which is basically universally compatible, working with 2Box, Roland, Pearl, Alesis, most Yamaha modules, etc.
The price is $190 shipping included in the CONUS. Or let me know where you are located and I will quote shipping. Send me a PM. Thanks for looking, Jman

I decided to put a quick guide to using the 2Box Editor or other programs like Drumit Mgr. using the 2Box Card after doing the external Card Mod. It all works fine, but the problem most have is you will get an Error the first time you try to use the Editor. The reason for the Error is the Editor needs to find your Card's Drumit File. Also, once you navigate the the Drumit file the first time in your Card Reader, from then on the Editor will go directly to your Drumit file as long as you are using the same reader on your computer, and you will not get the Load Error msg. again. Here are 5 pictures that will simplify things:

When you Open the Editor and get the Error, Press OK:

Then Click on the Kit Bar which is next to the Sound Bar:

Then you can Navigate to the Card Reader or Drive with your 2Box Card:

Highlight and Open your Drumit file:

Whoalla ... now you are ready to go:

I stuck a quick thread in the DIY section. But thought some who don't normally look at the DIY threads might be interested. Thought to be improbable ...... but absolutely possible ..... J

e-drum DIY / modifications / Drumit 3 Card Mod
March 25, 2018, 12:30:31 AM
I will be posting more details later but just thought I would post a couple teaser pics. These are with the extender installed, but I have to prep a 32GB Card. This shows the 4GB card in the extender with the module turned on.  ;D
Testing the module in my kit before mod:

I thought this one might be of interest. I am running my main kit with 5 toms through the Mimic module with everything else through the 2Box Drumit Five. I think you will see/hear that the Drumit Five holds it's own quite well. Thanks for taking your time ...... J

DrumIt 5 Hardware / US 2Box Power Supply
February 13, 2017, 02:01:09 AM
I received a new link for a US power supply for the module. A friend of mine (Mike) like me has purchased a few dif. power supplies for the 2Box. This one is 18VAC 1000MA. The recommended 2Box power supply is 18VAC 500MA. However the adapter must have "at least" 500MA. Using the adapter with 1000MA will not damage the module as the module will only use "what it needs". My friend tells me he prefers this adapter because the cord is a little beefier and the thin cord on some of the adapters is where they develop problems. Anyway, here is a link: http://www.jameco.com/z/ADU180100-2-5-18-VAC-1-Amp-18-Watt-AC-Wall-Adapter_2227621.html

I uploaded a video demo of my Stealth Percussion section. I will be getting new equipment to demo in the upcoming months, so I figured I better do it now before I have to move some equipment in/out. This demos my various Stealth percussion instruments with a 2Box module as the brains of the operation. All sounds are played directly from the 2Box module. I used BFD Percussion and EZX Percussion to build many extra percussion sounds loaded into the 2Box. Pardon the noise on the left channel, it was one of those days when the ghost in the system came out ... LOL.

I'm not sure if anyone noticed but the new version 1.05 Drumit Kit/Sound Editor is on the 2Box website for download. I have heard rumors that one of our finest software Guru's here at the forum did work on it .... don't you hate rumors?  ;) ..... http://www.2box.se/US/pages/editor/
All the pad types including the latest are working in this version.

I put together an Artists Kits set for the 2box module. Nothing special, just some kits built from BFD expansions I own with kits in the style of 13 drummers. I used SDSE (of course!). The video goes through the list. J
