well now my kit works awesomely (apart from the cymbals but that will be fixed with the new firmware)

what i thought could be improved is the kick pad. not trogerwise, but concerning its movement. because it is mounted on its bottom part, with the rack, this results in it moving a bit when the beater hits it. i wonder if someone has any idea how we could perhaps grab it somehow from the tom, with a pipe and connect it to the top pipe of the rack. so that the kick pad is connected to the pad form both bottom and top. it would be awesome and i think it would be even closer to the real kick pads. anyone have any idea if this can be done and what we could buy to do this? thanx

Seems like a lot of work. It would be easier to add another bar and use C-clamp to fix the upper side of kick pad to the bar. What you need to do this is:
- long curved 2Box bar and
- c-clamp like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Bessey-DHCC-4-4_Inch-Double-C-Clamp/dp/B000N0G26S

I guess there are also cheaper solutions.

well the last post of teh second page of this thread
http://www.2box-forum.com/index.php/topic,333.15.html
is very close to what i had in mind. but still form the hit of the beater the kick pad would be free to move forward. i think it would be better if there was something to grab the kick pad from the top?
this would work
http://www.amazon.com/Bessey-DHCC-4-4_Inch-Double-C-Clamp/dp/B000N0G26S
but i dont realise how i can mound this to the rod of the rack....

thanx for the replies so far guys

Get me long 2Box bar and I'll show you. :) Basically the C-clamp goes around the bar and you tighten against kick pad. Some sort of rubber, pieces of wood or metal would probably have to be used to tighten the c-clamp. Hard to say without actually holding the clamp in my hand.

i think i understood what you mean mate. i just got 2 ideas that perhaps wont need a pipe, just the clamp.
my ride is in the middle  between the hi tom and tom number 2. and it is fairly low, so thelow end of the rod rod of the cymbal is to the same height of the top of the kick pad. i could use just the clamp to toghten the kick pad this way. my fear is that the ride will get some more vibrations and prhaps get trigers that i wont want. the other idea i got is to put the kick pad to the far right. as right as possible
this way, the right side of the kick pad can be (with the help of the c clamp) mounted to the rack of 2box. i think the second idea is better? what do you think mate?

I think your fear is valid. You will transfer vibrations to the cymbal rod and trigger cymbal everytime you hit the kick. Second idea with moving the kick pad to the far right and clamping it to the rod sounds better.

Another idea would also look like this: http://cachepe.zzounds.com/media/fit,400by400/quality,85/KD-120PL-25639a4049aad490dc47b6182bfbc1af.jpg

Some people have already discussed this over here a while ago.

ah you mean the kick pad stand. i have read it but i think it was too much of a hassle, but i will reread the thread. come to think of it if i use this clamp
\(i found it in a greek site for 10 euros) http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/24036.pdf
and mound the mocing parts of it in the kick pad frame, will putting the curved side of the lamp outside the rack pipe, i think it is also a fail as probably the clamp would move a bit. so i think i will need another pipe clamp to catch the clamp i mentioned firmly into the 2box rack.
if i am correct opr wrong in my way of thinking please tell me guys. anyway i will check the thread you mentioned once gain. thanx

ps. after reading this thread, http://www.2box-forum.com/index.php/topic,794.msg7849.html#msg7849
i am not convinced that these modifications in that thread will work, as in both cases the kick pad is once again mounted only from the bottom of it.... i wisl i was mac gyiver

edit number 2

if i use this
http://www.musicorama.gr/eshop/product_info.php?products_id=3249
and mount it in the rack from one end, and in the small end of it i mound this thing
http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/24036.pdf
and then i mound the movind end of the last clamp to the kick pad, you think this is a win situation?
