hi all...

the 2box site says that the power adaptor for the Drumit5 is an 18V AC, 9 VA (500mA) unit...

can anyone confirm that this is definitely an AC output unit?

mandubien

Yes, at least for Europe. Maybe it's different for US (don't know where you're from). But the AC adapter is supplied anyway.

of course it's AC input, the crucial thing is whether it is AC or DC output...

Steve

How is that crucial? - Aside from the bass drum lighting up from the trigger cord what type of DC output is there?

fishmonkey

well, if you need to replace the power adaptor then knowing whether it's an AC or DC output unit is important...

18V AC units aren't that easy to find in my neck of the woods...

Hi this is to future me.

Correct power adaptor for 2box drumit five mark 1 in Europe is:

Input: AC 230V 50Hz 140mA
Ouput: AC 18V 1A*

* probably better to use 0.5A (500mA)?cause the plastic shield is warm. But I've been using for 3 hours straight and never get to a point where I would be worried it's just warm...
