Hi all.
I have an issue with receiving midi from my DrumitFive to my computer.
I use a USB2Midi cable and I tried several program that support midi e.g. Etrigger and others.
Every program absolutely doesn't receive signals from the DrumitFive.
I downloaded a tool that monitors the midi that comes in and out, it's called MIDI-OX.
See the screenshots! What can be wrong!? I don't care if the mapping is not correct, I just don't get any input if I play the drums!
The cable and driver are installed correctly. I am running WIndows 7 64-bits
Anybody can help. I will aplaud for you is that helps  :D

Hi Henk,

I use the same cable. I connected the midi-out cable to the midi-out plug and the same for midi in. However, no midi output.

So, I switched cables: out to in and in to out... That did the trick for me.

  it did the trick!!
So strange. This is my second cable, I do believe that 2BOX switched tyhe two around OR we misinterpreted it.

WHat do you think?

Well... I haven't got a clue.... Maybe the signs on the cable are from the PC's point of view...:

PC's Midi Out goes INto the Drumit...

Anyway... it works :)

MIDI is undirectional.  So you have separe OUT and IN physical interfaces.  MIDI OUT on one device goes to MIDI IN on another.   MIDI THRU is a OUTPUT and is a copy of what is received via the MIDI INPUT.

It's a current loop system and is optically isolated on the INPUT so nothing can break really if you get it wrong as you have noticed by now.
