Drumit6 should have realtime control from a computer , via USB or Ethernet ...
- For fast transfering sounds
- Even using sounds from a networked hard drive
- total remote of the unit via a laptop , using an editor with a "Touchscreen friendly " graphical user interface ; multitouch laptops tablets or pads will cost 200€ or less in a few years.. and a unit with no expensive screen on the module is more economic to produce ... just something bigger than drumit5 display , and the pc editor for more serious editing... after all , with drumit5 , if you want to add sounds in the module or edit sounds , you allready need a computer ...
.. imagine that you can adjust the mix or the parameters without changing pages and scrolling on menus ... or even better , if the sound engeneer has the possibility to adjust the volumes of each pads via wifi , for instance , lowering a too loud cymbal , without the need to come on stage or interrupt your playing during soundcheck .
Also it would be possible to group more pads on a single stereo group , like toms percs and cymbals , if you still have the ability to control their individual volumes ...

And it s no need to have wifi support from the Brain , you just have to build a nettwork from the computer that runs the Drumit6 editor and the one of the technician , using a software like VNC .. this technique is allready used to remote digital mixing desks like yamaha M7 or PM5 who also have pc based online editor..
Also , next generation should have 24bits 96khz( or more...) IN/OUT converters , that would provide 2X faster triggering , ( 4X if 192khz)
More IN/OUT:
- maybe 10 dual triggers + kick + some inputs for data changes like kit change tap tempo or start/stoping whatever you want via a pedal , a switch or a pad...
- 10 separate audio outs
EQ with lowcut on each output
Some serious Looping functions
Removable media for user sounds and onboard memory for standard kits and OS.
... of course this would need a lot of processor power , but in the future those wont be so expensive ...
