I didnt try yet , but i think that creating a special dsound with all layers at the same volume , or at customised levels , could fix the problem for people who dont like the accent ...

Hi again.

I tested the metronome (for the umpth time), it ticks just right.
Compared with an Android app (Mobile Metronome ver 1.2.3), just the same.

Also, would you like a higher pitch first tick better?

i personally would like all the ticks to be the same. but since different people like different things, perhaps we could get options?

also about the ticking of the metronome. all isaid is that it ticks correctly, until it fails.that is for me.
it plays ok and all of a syddenit kinda stucks.and loses the rhytm and after 2 seconds it is back on track. this really annoying as it makes me lose the rhythm...
perhaps i have a corrupted file or something? i dunno. but the distributors i got it from, told me that they replaced the sd....
what can i say...

perhaps the problem is only for me. is ther a way i can fix it? thanx

by the way , i m quite sure your problem is from the sd card ... maybe the distributor just made an error when switching the SDcard ... error is human...

so is it possible that the metronome problem i have, will be solved if i upgrade the firmware, or perhaps since i may have something corrupted, the problem will remain?

i m not sure a firmware update could solve the problem ...

Maybe you could open the module ( carefully) , take a picture of your SDcard , and send it to the distributor so they can check if you have a good one ... i had a faulty SDcard model , it was red with "team" written on it ...

did your module ever freeze ?

So this 1.20 m is still a beta version, when we can expect the full 1.20 update?
will this update the ride triggering? because I think the ride triggering is still not good, when hitting it with low velocity it triggers bad.

It s just my opinion , but i dont think that the "bell" issue will be fixed one day ....

the drumit is 2 years old , if there was a way to improve it , they'd surely found it for a long time ...

   Wave analysis works quite well if you hit the cymbal "the way it should be "... I dont mean ther is a propper way to play , but drumit5 brain "waits" for a certain signal to undrestand he has to play a bell sound...

  i dont see how a light hit on the bell could trigger a bell sound ...

As Deve said , there are some slight differencies in the product line and that makes it more difficult ....

Just my point of view :
    if people wants a realy reliable 3 zones , it has to have 2 piezo and a switch .... but it needs a dedicated third input .... 

   Another idea is a cymbal without rubber on the bell (like some DrMarteens in the eighties ), then the signal will be more different from bow to bell ( sharper & louder for bell and more dull for bow  ), making analysis easier ....

But with the actual hardware , i guess it s a dead end ...

my module has never frozen
the distributor said he replaced the sd card before he sent it. (because we live in greece and it is common for people to do stupid things, perhaps he didnt change it, but i have no reason at this point not to believe him)
anyway, in ten days i am waiting for a 32gb sd card. so i will replace either way, my own card. the thing is, since i may have some corrupted files, where can i get uncorrupted files from?
can i download them from somewhere perhaps?

As your module is under warranty , ask for a new sdcard... the one they put in has maybe a default , even if its a new one... if your module isnt fully functionnal , they have to do something for you ...

did you try with another sound for the clic ? if you think that you have corrupted files , is the problem still there when you use another ? or maybe it s one in the kit you use ... then try another kit ...

well i fear they will say they replaced the card and refuse to send another one.
but since i will probably send them the bass drum to make it mk2(if i dont transform it myself), i may send them also the brain...

ok i upgraded and also i copied the metronome files.but mate, perhaps something changed and in unit section there is no metronome section to choose the files you made....

i will check tomorrow when i will study to see if metronome now works. it needs some time to check it properly so i wil lanswer tomorrow when i am sure. hopefully it will be fixed.

btw awesome work this upgrade

ok now i have news

the metronome going nuts all the time, has fixed a lot after i did the upgrade but there is still a problem

i have it to count 4/4

and while it doesnt lose the rhythm like before, at often times, it replaces one beep with a hish. static i would call it. it sounds as if the headphones get moved and they produce static. weird thing is that this static always replaces a beep, never gets out of rhythm and it also happens when i connect the 2box also to my pc. not just the headphones. even more weird is tah the cable of the headphones or the pc speakers, doesnt get moving at all.

only thing i can guess is that i have something corrupted which in the new update makes a different bug

i am so sad

what can i do? i dont know

can i download from somewhere the files that i should replace from scratch, in my sd card and check if it gets fixed?

apart from that the update seems to be so awesome!!!!

Hi.

There still seem to be struggles with the hihat open-closed range. Here's a test sound which has a voice saying "0" when open to "10" when closed. A foot splash will say "pedal".

If the calibration is ok, you should be able to get all 11 positions (0 to 10) when hitting the hihat while slowly closing the hihat.

Please test this to check if your hihat behaviour is ok. If you still can't get the right range of open to closed sounds, then that's probably due to the hihat sounds themselves. The DrumIt software automatically divides the open to closed range in as many steps as the sound "offers". Our factory hihats have between 2 (electric type) to 4 (acoustic type) levels.
