Oh god THANK YOU DEVELOPER! I'm recording midi to addictive drums in the studio and had problems with:
- The automatic choke on cymbals.
- That the bell would pass over to bow when the drummer hitted a little softer, this bell-zone settings will proberly help this a little bit.
- Crosstalk, just a little little bit of crosstalk that I can see in the midi-recordings, just a very small amount of this xtalk would proberly help

Thank you very much, now almost every problem is gone! :)

1> i have a crash sound assigned to tom 4 input, but with the new os its only the bell sound that is  heard.  The bell sound is also heard when i hit the button 4 on the module?

Try to put a crash sound in the bell zone with Dsoundtool?

These are all great improvements. Specially like the EQ settings
Is it correct that the overall volume of the system is decreased a bit?
Or am I going to be deaf?

Hi Developer, after I loaded 1.20 beta OS the metronome sound becomes inconsistent. Accents seem to be played randomly and also the note sounds in between vary. I'm using Latin Cowbel Std but I also tested some other percussion sounds with the same result.

Another issue is that when I try to playalong with pre-recorded track at certain tempo and I setup the same tempo in the module after approx. 30 second they start to go apart noticeably. I also compared module metronome with some other sources (online metronome) and the same thing happens.

Did anybody else notice?

BURNIN AMBITION

this happens to me also in version 1.10

dont know why but metronome gets out of count all the time

the metronome sound becomes inconsistent.
I don't know if this problem existed with OS1.10, but we can hear it with the 1929_Timbales sound. Differents layers are played.
When I affect a cymbal sound to a pad, only the bell (zone1) is played and not the bow (zone3).
Finally I have my usual crosstalk between rim and snare, in despite of the use of XTrig.
I didn't notice any change with the general volume.

Hi everybody.

Just back from Frankfurt.
I've read all feedback, thanks.
Will go through it and post an updated beta later.

Some replies:
- eq is once per kit, having one per channel would be way too much processor load.
- there will be a new zone assignment on the ENV page, so one can pick eg. bow from a cymbal sound if it's on a tom channel.
- cymbal bow and edge trig level were increased rel to cup trig level, worked fine with my ex of a production cymbal, however, there seem to be too much variation in the behaviour of cymbals, so I'll make it as 1.10 again.
- avg output level is indeed somewhat lower to allow for positive eq gain.
- switching channel with pads works as long as you don't press a channel button, if you do, the channel selection is locked until you press KIT or UNIT and go back to the page again (same as for 1.10).
- I'll look into the metr accuracy.
- indeed the metr plays diff layers (same as 1.10) however, some sounds have unfortunately too much "character" difference between adjacent layers, but it 1.20 behaves the same as 1.10 in that respect.
- XTRIG is mainly to solve pad-to-pad crosstalk.

deve if i get it correctly, you are the engineer of the 2box software. in that case thank you for your hard efforts

please if you can , check the metronome issues. it happens all the time to me, and i notice it because i study exercises with metronome all the time. and when i play lets say for 4 minutes, all of a sudden it plays weird. it loses rhythm. it is as if there is a wav with the correct rhythm and when this wav finishes and starts over, at that point it plays funny and it loses the rhythm.

also, please, please, i know it may be a lot to ask, but can you make also a choice that we can have all beeps of metronome to have the same volume? i dont like to have the first volume being more loud than the others....
once again thank you very very much

ps. mp3 support would also be awesome but i guess you already know that. as would a 100 kit mimitation removal  be

thanx once again

I do
So different taste for different folks

For the metronome , maybe it could be nice to have control on the accent velocity ... from max to no accent ... everybody would be happy then.

I didnt try yet , but i think that creating a special dsound with all layers at the same volume , or at customised levels , could fix the problem for people who dont like the accent ...

BURNIN AMBITION

i agree,if we had the choice to remove the accent of the first beat, ot have it, would be the best thing

but for me the most basic and important thing, is for the metronome to work correctly. cause right now, for me, it doesnt.
and i am forced to use a metronome from my pc, to play. and i hate it cause i have to get up everytime to change the bpms

I don't have the Beta version loaded now, I have reverted to OS1.10, but was that not the Beta upgrade option on the metronome?
"The metronome BAR parameter has a 1/4 bar which can be used when a single accent is sufficient."?

It was late at night when I tried it, so my memory is jaded already on it.  ;D

I never experienced such problems ... Maybe you have a bad SD card problem ...

BURNIN AMBITION

no this isnt the issue. i called the distributors and they told me they replaced it before sending it to me...i dont think they lied

I would like to know if someone of you noticed any improvements for the hihat by using the 1.20 firmware.

My problem is, that there are still not many half open steps to hear and to feel, - btw. the "sweet spot" for half open Hihats is IMO way too small. Also the difference between edge and bow sound is very little.

I tried to create a Hihat with 5 half open steps by using Dsoundtool - without any satisfiying result.
First - the program told me that there would'nt be enought memory  (I changed that several times without any noticed success) but maybe I'm too dumb to get it. And even with 3 half open steps, ther wasn't a change to hear??

Does anybody of you know what I'm doing wrong?  ??? ??? ???

Thanx a lot
