BURNIN AMBITION

i must have rearranged my kit a thousand times. still isnt better than some of yours guys. i am so jealous. but what really works for my is the cover of the kick. i now really cranked up the gain, and even when i have the cover on the thick side, it triggers great and has a natural feel. and is very very silent.like hitting 3 blankets with your pedals. i am thinking of making the 2box hihat, as a china on the right side of the floor tom, but we will see...perhaps i could use it as a splash but still is too big...
well enjoy. i think this will be my final positioning of toms cymbals, for a very long time

ps. the pen you see in the first picture, is a manowar pen!!!!
yeahhhh             :drum3: :drum3: :drum3: :drum3:

Here is a small pic of my current kit :

Here is a list :

Drums :
5 piece Diamond Electronic Drums
14x5 walnut snare
The others are with black ripple and turquoise ripple stripe wraps
10x8 / 12x9 rack toms with RIMS
14x12 floor tom with legs
20x16 bass drum

Cymbals :
Jman's A to E 18" ride
Jman's A to E 15" crash
2Box 14" cymbl
2Box Hi hat

Gibraltar Hardware :
Modified SC-GCS400C rack (swap 24"wings by 36", use the 24" along with 2 T-legs clamp and round rubber feet to add legs for the wings)
No Leg Liquid Drive Hi Hat stand
2 Tom mounts with ball adjustement
2 short cymbal arms with swing nut
1 long cymbal arm with swing nut.
Pearl Eliminator 2002B Double Pedal
DW Drum trhone Airlift series

And of course, the 2Box module  :patbat2box:

The pic does not give the beauty of Dave's work justice. I will do better pics later with a camera.

I will do a mini report on both Diamond Drums and Jman's A to E conversion kit as well. I have a Hi hat conversion to finish (bottom hat) and a 16" crash to convert to replace rubber cymbals left.

Nice kit! I am looking forward to read what you have to say about the Diamond Drums. I know Digital Drummer has tested them, but that was some time ago. How do they trigger with the latest OS?

And of course JMan's conversion kit as well...

Interesting to see how many people keep the film on their module face. I too am guilty of that!

Phew ! I'm not the only pyscho out there  ;D

Rider : I will do more test of the ride on friday. I will benchmark it to the 2Box 14" cymbal in term of response and dynamic. What I can tell already : bell separation is stronger on the A to E and the edge sensor is less sensitive than a rubber cymbal (CY8, PCY135/155, 2Box 14") . I've never played a Surge nor a Smartrigger so i can't compare them to mine.

Rider

nice to hear!! i dont like the 2box cymbals and they seem way to sensitive on the edge and numb on the bell, a video also will work fine......  :P  ;)
