Hello,
I just bought a DI3 and I really love the sounds. But I am getting crazy trying to calibrate the Roland FD-8 hihat! I tried many things, playiing with the MIDI notes, the VH-11 Zourman process,... with no luck.
I cannot get the Roland CY-5 cymbals to choke as well.
The DI3 is used through a MIDI cable from the TD-4 module.
It is so frustrating... I looked on the internet and in this forum but could not find working info.
I have a gig in 10 days, and I would really like to use the 2box module.
Thanks for any help!
Maxime

2BOX Midi in from any edrum module won't work for chokes, it seems 2box sends aftertouch but doesn't receive it so no cymbal chokes possible, also the 2Box hihat needs to have something connected to its input to be able to be calibrated, via MIDI in it won't calibrate. You're better of getting rid of the TD-4 and use only the 2box alone

Hi.
No aft touch used. Choke is the 4th note from the base note.
I did this to allow to play from a keyboard. They seldom have poly aft touch.

Hihat via midi does not need calibration. Its 3 notes, bow, edge, foot, and cc4. (Mod wheel.)

Yeah, but the roland modules send aftertouch, I'm sure using a midi programm to convert aftertouch to the note 2box uses will work but you will always need a computer or a midi solutions thingy
