Zildjian L80 low volume cymbals

Is it possible to use the current 2Box hi-hat trigger with low volume cymbals like Zildjian L80's?

Best way I have found is to use the low volume hi hat with open back headphones and no triggers.
Won't work with the original HH trigger system, don't know about the new one but I imagine it would need some DIY work.

You would need to install a hihat trigger system, like GoEdrum trigger system. Reasonably priced and seemingly an easy instal. Plus a controller if it doesn't come with one (I am not sure) btw, it would need to be a Drumit3 or 5Mk11 module.

If it's the original one, you'd need a Zurmann 2box hihat box too. But the short answer it yes, it can ne done.
