Hihat spinning (stop that!)

I'm posting this in case anybody finds it of any use.....

My hihat kept spinning round slowly as I played, which was a pain in the proverbial because it has a definite sweet
spot, and this kept drifting round out of reach 

In fact the central rod was unscrewing on the thread which you fix it into 

So I put some blue threadlocker (semi permanent only) on the thread of the rod and then screwed it back
down, and boom-chacka-lack

If its works, its fine!
