Hi everyone! I saw an old topic from 2018 on Roland BT-1 used for sidestick, but it didn't contained any feedback on how this soluion might work or not. I am considering adding a BT-1 on the snare pad of my speedlight with Drumit 3 to get a sidestick sound. Has anyone here tried this solution? Does it work?

It will work but it needs a stereo input, you cannot split it, so if you have an input free then it will work

Should not be any problems to include in the setup - I even tested it for 2box when doing the https://2box-drums.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Compatibility-List-–-DrumIt-Three-21-1.pdf list for 2box.

The BT-1 is a bit special...the idea behind is that a switch is firing when the surface is being hit and brings the piezo signal at the same time. In this case you are able to use it as a side trigger not interfering from the main drum. Then you might need to fiddle a bit with the settings to get it right.

Best regards
