Loading OS error

Hi everyone,

I used my 2box for a long time without changing anything, but I moved recently from Europe to the US and my drums stayed in a box for a year.

I just tried to power it on today but I got an error.

When I launch it, it says "loading_OS", then barely visible on the screen "loading DrumItOS" and never changes.

See this short video on YouTube when powering on:

I tried to update the OS bin via my computer and now it launches v1.36.3 but still write the same message: "loading DrumItOS"

Boot 1.32
OS version: 1.36.3

I didn't play for a year and I'm desperate for help to make it work.

Thanks everyone for your kind help

Nico

Hi, you moved from Europe to US. The original European 2box power supply is 230VAC/50Hz which will probably not work in US (where the standard is 110VAC/60Hz?). Have a look at the spec labeled on the power supply.

Hi Nico,

I have the same problem as you. Move from Europe to Canada. I have bought a new power supplier 18V 500mA but it still doesn't function. I can read and load drum sound but the sound I hear in my headphone is horrible. it whistle a lot.

Do you have find any issue? Is someone can helps us? Thank you

Hello,

The 2box mk1 requires 18VAC (and not 18VDC as most power supplies do). The mk2 module however is 12VDC. The correct voltage is labeled on the module (AC IN or DC IN). Lets check first if you have the correct power supply.

edit: seems like connecting DC to AC will have this behavior on audio for mk1.

No, the label on the picture shows output 18VDC. You need a powersupply with 18VAC output (input 120V/60Hz for Canada I believe is correct) for the 2box mk1. They are not so easy to find with AC output, perhaps better to buy specific for 2box in case of doubt and frying your drummodule.
