DSND to Logic Pro X Sampler? Velocity triggering.

G'day all,

I'm trying to work out a way to convert my DSND files from my 2Box Drummit 5 into Logic Pro X.

I can see that the DSND can be pulled into Audacity and played, and that if I change the file name from .dsnd to .mp3 the file will play.

If I convert the .dsnd to .mp3 in Audacity I can pull the .mp3 into Sampler but it spreads the velocity triggers over notes. I'd prefer velocity triggering and not note triggering.

Has anyone played around with this and found a solution?

Cheers.

Hi,
If you just need to play or load dsnd you can rename to .wav instead of .mp3.
If you need a quick way to extract individual samples from .dsnd files to .wav you can use DSoundTool or my program DSound Manager.
The free version of DSound Manager can extract from one dsnd at a time (same as DSoundTool). The full version can batch extract all your dsnd files and restore the original pitch of samples or reverse the order if needed.
