Baby Samus

Thanks a bunch Slap!  :animal: I have downloaded nearly all the samples linked on that page, and the kit that immediately jumped out was the 'Big Mono Kit', free from http://www.analoguedrums.com/details-bm.php.  You have to get them to send you a code to your e-mail, then you log in with the code and boom, you've got a free drumkit!

Took me a little while to take all the .wav files and bounce them down in audition, then transfer them over but so far it is sounding great.  Amazing quality for free samples.

Its a ludwig kit with a Rogers Dynasound snare, and Zildjian cymbals, but I think the best thing about it is this :

'Recorded through a 1974 EMI Neve desk at York St Studio. Recorded in mono in decca-tree configuration, directly to tape. Converted using Apogee Rosetta converters.'

So far I have a test kit with the 2 toms, snare, base drum and hi-hat.  Gonna finish the crash and ride cymbals tomorrow hopefully, and then I will post a link for all to share.  Only 16 samples per layer, but it sounds detailed enough.  I'll stick up a post with a download link when I'm done...

The Free Jazz Funk Drum sounds nice but all samples are loud
There are no soft hits
Strange ...
