Cymbals permanently choked after each restart

Hi guys

New to the 2Box, loving the experience but having some problems.

Hitting any of the cymbals, they stop immediately as if being choked. I've worked out how to make them come good again, I go into the unit settings and change the trigger type for each one, cycling all the way through until I get back to the ones I had saved. Then, they seem to work fine. But I have to do this every time I turn the unit on, even if I save the unit preferences while it's all working.

Anyone else experienced anything similar, or have any ideas for what I should do next? I've got two standard 3-zone cymbals and one of the quarter-section ones with the rubber pad on it.

What cymbals are you using? If it’s the 2box one from the original drumit5, peel
Back the robber top and check if any of the prongs are touching the plate/disk.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, original cymbals plus a segment pad of a different brand.

I did wonder if they might be broken, and had a look under the rubber, but everything seems fine, none of the prongs are bent down to touch.

I would check the prongs again, the slightest touch causes it to ground and hence choke, this happened to me many many times. It would be good practice to bend all prongs up a little bit just to be sure.

OK, I'll have another look... One of the cymbals is a plastic/rubber thing with no tangs on it anyway, and it's doing the same thing.

I don't think I've ever used a cymbal choke in my life, I wish we could turn it off if it's gonna cause trouble.

I am not 100% on this, but if you used Mono cables (standard 1/4" jack type) that should negate the choke function. Being as you never use it, you'll not miss it. But it might solve this.
