Hey follow 2box'rz,
Just some helpful insight. I just installed the SDHC extender and I'm using a 32 gig Sandisk Extreme 10 card. I had a different card and kept trying to format it to the right spec and on the Mac, that was impossible. The OSX Disk Utility App will not allow the proper formatting. When I got this new SanDisk card, I didn't format it and left it how it came, copying all the data over from the factory SDHC card and everything works fine.

I have had a couple boot up failures but rebooting seems to solve that. Thanks to everyone for the info on upgrading, and getting the right cards to use. I'll post some cool sound sets for you all in a few weeks when I can get to that task.

Hey dudes,

if you have an incorrect formatted sd-card (e.g. because you tried to format it yourself via windows or mac os system tools), you need to re-format it with this tool:

https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/

win and mac put wrong clustersizes on the card (4kbyte I think), but sd cards need clustersize of 32 kbyte, which the "SD Formatter" does.

cheerio,

Lutz

I would stress that people not format their card before using it, but if you do have a reason to format definitely use the formatter linked by tower of p above.

The most current 32GB cards that work well with the 2Box module are the Lexar and PNY cards here:

Those cards are good to use straight out of the package, no formatting necessary.

Also, another mistake people make is trying to access the module by plugging into USB after doing the 16 or 32GB card mod. Do not use the USB module connect after doing the mod. Simply plug your card into a Card Reader and access it that way! You cannot use the USB function straight to the module with a card larger than 4GB! J
I could tell you where to stick that piezo! :D ;)
