Replacing foam triggers

New user, just acquired a lightly used speedlight kit but discovered the foam between the piezo and the mesh head of the snare has deteriorated so hits on the snare are not registering.

Hits on the rim are fine and if I remove the head lightly tapping the sensor registers the hit.

I've searched and can't find an answer - are replacement foams available? I have seen the cone shaped ones for Roland pads but these seem too large? Has anyone made their own, if so any particular type of foam? Also, how easy is it to remove the old foam from the piezo?

Many thanks for any suggestions.

Yes replacement Foam Cones are available from many places. Search eBay for "replacement foam cones for electronic drum pads" You will find many and they're very cheap.
