Yeah the ring of the TRS for the Kick does carry 5V and you don't need it. But I don't think it will cause any problems. Even the manual says it will not cause any damage to other pads. But a Dual Mono splitter will certainly work. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hosa-YPP-111-Y-Cable-1-4in-TS-to-Dual-1-4-TSF-6-inch-Mono-Adaptor-Splitter-/261753850604?hash=item3cf1becaec:g:lMEAAOSwnDZT7vZi
I could tell you where to stick that piezo! :D ;)

Hi. I might add that it's not 5 Volt but a 40 mA current source with a max voltage of -14 Volt if left open or a load more than 350 Ohm. It's from the negative supply because then it does not "melt" the hihat pad (if plugged in by mistake) which is supplied with 3.85 V and has a protection diode in series. But hanging a piezo on there is not recommended.

Hi!

I have been working on something when realizing that the power on the cymbal inputs is very weak.

It is giving 3V between ring and sleeve, unloaded. But when adding a load, you need to have load above 1 M ohm...to keep voltage around 3 Volt. (It will drop otherwise)

Obviously it is not designed for any load...just to check if the edge switch is pressed or not.
