Using the set for recording (Sonar, EZDrummer)

I've had my 2Box Drumit for 2 days now and my first goal is to record new drum tracks for our songs using the set.
We've got the recordings in Sonar and my thoughts are to connect the set with my audiocard using a midicable and there map it to EZDrummer.  I tried to connect like this yesterday and I managed to get some sounds from EZDrummer while playing on the drums. But the sounds we're not mapped correctly (cymbal sound while pouding on the toms for example).

1) Anyone knows how to map the kit to get the right sounds in EZDrummer?
2) To avoid latency from the drum sounds should I connect the audio card line out to the Drumit brain to get the song to play with, and use the headphone directly to the Drumit brain?

Or would you do it any other way?
Thanks!

Hi

I don't know if I will help...

Have you tried to change the midi notes in the menu NODE (from UNIT menu)?

You may have identical midi notes for your cymbal and your tom.
Warning: a cymbal has several midi notes wich are consecutive (bell, body)

No I haven't it sounds like that should do the trick!
I'll try it tonight! Thanks!
