Hi guys,

I recently made a few recordings of the 2Box drumit 5 for anyone who wants to hear what it sounds like before buying etc.  I know there are videos at the 2Box site and a few you tube videos, but I thought I would do some audio only 320kbps MP3's as the quality is better.

Please bear in mind that these are not rehearsed or played with a click or to a song, and no effects or processing has been used - its just me playing some random stuff on the kit so you can get a better idea of what it will sound like out of the box as it were.  Anyway hope this helps you guys make a decision or compare to Roland/Yahama etc...

This first link is to give you an example of one of the sets of toms that come on the module.  Its just me messing about on the toms.

The second link here is to try to show the sensitivity of the kit, so I am dropping the stick onto the head and letting it bounce.

The third link is just me playing a beat to show you what it sounds like in general. Again I didn't spend much time on this so don't be expecting anything rehearsed or fancy - its just a wee beat!

When I get more time I will do some proper demo's, perhaps some with music too.

Thanks for those recordings they are great!

I am thinking of buying this kit.

Can you tune each drum up, and make individual changes to each drum?

Have you seen any links to a sound recording where the hi hat is used so I can get a feel for this?

Yes each drum can be tuned up and down.  You can also change the velocity curve, threshold and gain for each pad.  I will try to do some demo's where the hats are used more when I have the chance.

aahh you would be a gentleman if you did that. Please don't go to too much trouble as I can investigate by other means though.

I have watched a lot of youtube but there doesn't seem to be a great deal of well recorded movies. Nevertheless I will certainly check these again as I am excited by the prospect of buying this kit.

As I have stated on another post, I am thinking of acquiring an additional tom and cymbal with the drumit 5, and another thought is to not buy the rack, and to buy a heavy duty gibraltar rack, or equivalent, so I can use it with my acoustic kit. However this may not be possible or indeed it may be too expensive.
