the thread was full with hi hat issues before the mk2 came in life mate and before the new firmware upgrades... also manfred has made a kit tomake you e able to use for instance a cy-5 as a hi hat pad. i have no issues with hi hat at all

Thanks for your reply. I am getting more used to the hat now. I would say though that the vh11 on td15 is still the best hat and software at the price. Try it if you get a chance. Maybe the sounds are not as good but playing is amazing.

Nico

has been a while since 1.24 so here we go...

- hihat bending technique: pitch up closed bow sound while pushing pedal all the way down (foam pressed) below close calibration position
- limiter velocity range, this way hardest hits caused by hotspots can be eliminated
- some way to record the drums without using the analog signal route and quality reduction, through editor similar to VSTi
- positional sensing (center piezo pads)
- support sdhc > 4GB via usb port
- cross stick and rimshot detection

Nico this is spot on great points.

I would add I hope drumit don't do what Roland do. Which is to release a new module and leave the old one behind. Wouldn't it be great if the OS features were still developed alongside the atraction that a new module brings like increased hardware & memory options?

Nico

So far they did a great job on free software upgrades but there is still room for improvements.
Offcourse hardware has a limit. 2box is a small company, I would be suprised if they already release a new module. For now the drumit5 module (with memory mod) fulfill my needs.

BURNIN AMBITION

it is not a small company there is great background and history there... and remember, this is the best module available. the best. by far. soooo......
of course there will always be room for improvement, but right now i am more than extremely happy. right now if there would be a quick button for recording on the fly ,it would be awesome...

Nico

I have read on several topics here it was small...anyway compared to Roland, there will be more manpower in Japan.
It is the best module available and this is one of the reasons I moved to 2box.
It is not much work to use a PC,  record midi out, and play it back through midi in. This way you can still set levels en sounds before streaming to line in from soundcard.

BURNIN AMBITION

look, it is a small company, if you say that it is newly born. but the technology and kwnoledge they have comes from a previous giant in electronic drumming. naf said!!!

only by the fact that many roland td20 and td30 users, that know what they want, change their brain for a 2box brain, says a lot.
edrumming for me is all about sounds. and you cant beat 2box. in that.
fanboy out

- compatibility with other brand hi-hat- and ride cymbal pads

It would be awesome to be able to use for example the Yamaha PCY155 3-zone cymbal out of the box!

I know the question has been raised, but would it be possible to add possibility to put a 1 or 2 zone cymbal with choke, for example a china or a splash on one of the Tom inputs?

No, tom inputs have piezo amplifiers, no switch detection.
You can split the tom input to 2 single zone cymbals without choke.

Oh too bad... really like being able to choke all of my cymbals, even the. I don't do it all that often but it adds to the genuine overall feel. I'll guess I'll have to live with it.

apart from the ability to record on the fly what you play, so that you can check very fast if what you play is actually good or not that good (like in roland td9), i just came with the idea that it would be awesome, if we could have a polyrhythm metronome/ it should be easy to do so. 2 metronomes one on top of the other with different sounds, could do it. for example one metronoe could play 16th notes and the other could play 8th note triplets. voila, polyrhythm metronome!!!!
