Also, I heard rumors of possible more compact format ... would that improve playing or just save space on the card?

thanx jerry ....

About the sound compression , i ask myself if it  uses CPU ressources , having an impact on the latency ... maybe on a stripped down os , this compression should be avoid ... after all , the "public" for such an OS may allready have made the external SD conversion , and dont care a lot about saving data space ...

...Could it be because of sound  compression that we have those strange digital artefacts on some Tom and bass drum sounds  ?

Last thing.... i d rather keep the loop section ... IMO it s not consuming so much  ressources ...  not like effects do for sure ...  also loops is a major function that many pro user may want on stage ...

Hello, as i said elsewhere i think that improved midi in support with note management (give the user the ability to assign a midi note to any sound) would be really cool. I have a TMI unit that is almost useless with this module since you can't trigger a sound that is not bound to a drum channel (well you can make your own dsnd's and sacrifice cymbal bells and bow but it's boring and you are still limited).

It would be awesome if there were a feature to record yourself playing as a midi file! You could then lay down a groove and play it back while flicking through and auditioning kits :)

Agreed - any form of onboard recorder would be great. As it is, I can't gig with the 2box because I can't do the usual soundcheck. With another module, I can record a pattern and set it to play while I go into the audience and listen to the band mix. I can't do this with the 2box.

there are lots of ways around that limitation though, although of course it requires another device on stage.

can be a pretty small device though...

a must thing for me is this.

please, please, put a pause function and a fast forward and rewind to the songs we play through 2box brain(aka when we insert a wav to the sd card)
(mp3 support would also be welcome, though i dont have a real problem as i have a big sd card)

I want the snare to be more sensitive! Being able to set the gain to -4 or something would be awesome!

By pressing play while playing the song you pause the song.

BURNIN AMBITION

no that is totally wrong mate. the song stops. not pauses. and then it starts all over again

Well, mate, you have to go up to the "Prog" page and there you can pause the song.

BURNIN AMBITION

thanx for that i just checked it and i can confirm it. though it isnt very handy to go all the way down on the page to the metronome to start the song and then go all the way up to pause...
anyway pausing will be more efficient with a rewind or ff button. but thanx for letting me know of the option mate. rep added!!!! hehehe

It's definetly not convinient and therefore I'm playing song through line-in from a laptop or mp3 player / cell phone.
