Hey Everybody,

New guy here with s/n 00774.
I've had this set for a few years, and I've had to patch up a few things.
Currently it's the HiHat. I have relocated the Hall element board to the base of the HiHat stand,
and jury rigged a Goedrums hihat. I can get it to trigger with the piezo, and I can get it to cal with a strategically placed magnet, but I can't get a closed Hat sound. How can I confirm that the module is working?

Coda

Basically - if it calibrates then its working. If you dont get a closed sound then the magnet is too far from the board, and in that case I don't know how you managed to calibrate it. Can you explain a bit better what you did, and how its rigged? A picture would be cool too.

I bet on damaged hall . Search the forum for it ;-)

Coda

If that was the case, I don't think he would be able to calibrate?

nocturnodrummer

Oh, sorry. I was too quick to judge and didnt read carefully. Maybe the board came loose inside the cymbal and when it moves around, the hall sensor cant get the full range.

Coda

He's relocated the board to under the hi-hat stand. Do you need a cup of coffee?  :P

nocturnodrummer

Well, no comment.. I was at work concentrated on other stuff and tried to do some good. But all in vain.

Coda

LOL no worries, I'm sure it's appreciated you tried/wanted to help. :D

Thanks for the input.

Rookie mistake.
First rule of troubleshooting.
Load your firmware into the editor and make sure the sounds work.
I had a corrupt .dkit file.
