Rack compatability

Can anyone advise please. I'm toying with the idea of changing pads over to the Roland PD 128's and the rack as well but keeping the Drumit brain. Will the current 2Box pads fit the MDS12v rack, does anybody know? All help from Pimp my Kit specialists gratefully received.

The current 2Box pads will fit the MDS-12 rack. The 2Box rack and the MDS-12 are standard 1 1/2" tubing. You would need to also use the 2Box clamps for the 2Box toms though if you plan on moving those to the MDS-12 rack .... as they need the hex type L rod connection. The 2Box cymbals fit on any standard cymbal type arm.

How about the pintech dual zones for the toms  and one of their  new Phoenix custom snares with the sensitivity knobs for the triggers mounted right on the pads and throw them on a Gibraltar rack unless you have all the Roland pads and rack already? I think that would be awesome with the 2 box module and if you don't need rubber cymbals convert some metal cymbals from Jman at Stealth  drums for ride, crash, and hats! That kit would be smokin'! The 128 Roland pads  are really best suited for the Roland td 30 module( I owned it)to get the positional sensing which 2 box doesn't offer yet . The 2 box sounds  with any compatible pads are just amazing and with choices like bfd 3 , addictive drums, and superior drummer, they are absolutely off the hook, bad ass!

Wonderful, thank you both for your help and game on! I already have a set of the semi acoustic Zildjian cymbals which to be fair are good but you don't get the full effect of being able to change their sound potential unless a) you are using headphones or b)amp cranked up. Plan is to change rack first then change snare. Everything else is cost dependant and little by little. Many thanks people!

Are you triggering those cymbals  thru a module? Do you need better triggers . Stealth drums sells 3 zone cymbal triggers for 2box . Even if they are old cymbals you could clean them up with brasso  or Noxon and either bolt them 2 your cymbals for a permanent installation or Velcro for a temporary install

hemiboy, thanks for the advice and just to let you know I've taken the plunge and got some Pintech drums on order and looking into trying a couple of the Stealth triggers. Will take a while for that to come off as the cymbals I'd like to convert from my acoustic kit are all sat in a lock up in the UK. Great plan though and much appreciated, thanks!

You are welcome!  what Pintech pads did you end up buying? The concert casts or did you get one of those Phoenix snares, or both? Also are you rigging it all up to a 2 box module? hemiboy, I need a bit more of your help please. So I've installed a Pintech Phoenix 14' snare and it is the mutts nuts. Fabulous and very grateful for the advice. Also got a Roland V Drums Kick pad KD120 at the same time which is not so whoopido due to triggering problems. It works , that is to say, it triggers at the very top but you would need a pedal the length of a pool cue to reach it. So, advice please, what do I need to do. Second question is that now I have a free snare tom that could be rack mounted I know I need a screw eyelet and wingnut but how to assemble it into the unit like the other toms. Do I need to disassemble the whole unit? What's your advice please!

I have a Drumitfive RackI, Am buying a 2Rack.

Are the clamps from my Rack1 usable on the RackII? I am allmost sure but would like to have conformation.
