I have a new 2Box module with Pintech drums and cymbals http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pintech-Road-Pro-Electronic-Drum-Set-with-2-Box-Drum-Module-1995-95-Demo-/291141158541?ssPageName=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1123&nma=true&si=nVm2jKWcNMvGdEdN%252BpUtwPtsGuc%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557.

Their 3 zone ride, which I believe is set up like the Roland 3 zone, has 2 jacks. After reading "Re: New user How to connect roland 3 zone cymbal? Hihat open/close responsiveness" http://www.2box-forum.com/index.php?topic=1722.msg15592#msg15592, I'm under the impression that there may not be a way to access the edge sound from this cymbal pad unless I was to create my own patches using a second input for one of the zones. Is this correct or in the last year has someone found a way to do this? I gather that using a y-cord would give me garbage or worse. Is this correct?

BTW: Is it safe to hot patch ins and outs on the module? If someone's going to go to Sweden, I'd like it to be me, not my module;-)
