Recording your acoustic kit just because you want to hear it?

Hi guys - I guess like me many of you have switched to electric drums for practical reasons but I'm just wondering how many of you have recorded your acoustic set regardless of quality just so you can hear them on a regular basis?

Haven't got the tools to do so. Just one good overhead mic. But I use SDSE to get samples from kits I like. That way I have a Pearl snare sample close to my own MHX snare. And I like and use the DW and Vistalite from BFD2.

Haha I wonder if there's any samples anywhere of a badly tuned mapex v series.

I do have nice cymbals mind you ;)

I've been playing over 10 years but you'd be surprised at how little I know about any of the instruments I play or the technicalities of music in general!
