Since a few people have used my Stealth cymbal triggers with their Gen 16 AE cymbals I wanted to test this out myself. I picked up a used HH, Ride, Crash set with no pickups or DSP. Installing the triggers as others have mentioned is very easy. Since the Gen16 AEs already are filled with holes you only need to pick the position to mount using corresponding holes lined up with the box screws and clamp screws (if you use the additional edge switch clamps), put the brass screws in the cymbals and peel n stick the triggers, fasten the screws, washers, and nuts...... plug them into your module and play. The acoustic noise of the Gen16 AEs is actually less than with dampened regular acoustic cymbals, at least it is to me.

While I was at it I redesigned my current 2Box cymbal trigger. I found that by slightly modifying the way I wired things internally I could completely eliminate the extra choke strip assembly. As a side bonus, because of the rewiring I am pretty confident these will now be able to be made compatible for the Megadrum TMI modules. No promises on that yet, but I do have a new Stealth trigger version on the way to London where someone is going to beta test this for me.

The video link below is the performance Demo. I plan to upload an installation video later. Thanks for taking your time .... J

How's the ride cymbal response? I'm on a quest for a better performing ride!

Anytime you need a tester in the low lands just call my name :)

Honestly, I'm having a ball with the gen16 hihat, the ride sounds pretty on DSP-setting 22 (however, the bell is thin and oversteering is hard but the stick-sounds are just great) and the weakest link is the crash. Still tinkering on the crash. Happily I have 3 2box cymbals and a spare 2box hihat to have a nice blend of cymbals.
