Output settings?

Hi!
Just started up my 2Box brain and I've ran into some problems..
Problems that I can't find any info about in the manual.
First of all, the phones output is very low. Or rather, if I turn the level knob
up more than 12 o'clock, the sounds start to distort.. Why is this? Am I doing something wrong?
(I have no triggers right now so I'm using the buttons on the unit.)

EDIT > Plugged my in-ear headphones in and now it doesn't sound distorted..

And the other question. I will be using a trigger on the bass drum, one on the snare and 4 pads to trigger the drumit 5. I'd like to have each sound on a separate output, how do I do that?
(Bass drum trigger>Output 1, Snare trigger>Output 2, Pads 1-4>Output 3-6.)
I'd really appreciate if someone could help me with this!
