What hardware differences between the old and new models are there?

I recently bought a new drumit 5 mk2, and noticed that my kit has a few differences from what I've seen on pictures.

For example the rubber that's at the bottom of the frame legs and pedals, mine are black while others are orange.

Also my drum kick has no '2box' label across the mesh and no plastic insert with a hole on the side, mine is just plain mesh.

Cheers

Same, mine is from April this year. Black ball on the kick.

Yup that's like mine too. All good then.

Isn't Mk2 hardware more robust and durable than Mk1?

fishmonkey

the main differences are:

  • a more robust rack system (the MK I system was surprisingly wobbly)
  • a separate snare stand rather than a stick on a pole, which limited where you could place the snare
  • no metal and foam front (or light) on the kick pad
  • rim triggers attached with 5 o-rings instead of only 3

Is it MK2 cymbals that feature the rim protection?
