Hi,

Bout to purchase a new drumit 5 here in Oz.

Im wondering what PC requirements In relation to sound?

I will be playing the audio through some decent monitors (beside headphones), do you guys input/output audio from the brain into an after market audio module, say something like 24bit DAC Asus Xonar Essence One ?

cheers

No computer is necessary. You can output direct into an amp/PA.

Are the outputs 1 per drum channel or are they programmable? Can you create a credible mono or stereo mix within the unit and output all the drums on one or two jacks? Is the output single ended only or is balanced available as well?

If you do want to output to a computer, digital mixer or outboard DAC does it have AES/EBU or SPdif? If not, can you derive a digital output from the USB? If digital output is available, is there a latency issue?

the outputs are configurable, so you can set up sub-mixes with anything from 1 to 8 independent channels.

the outputs themselves are unbalanced, but are wired so that using balanced cables isn't an issue.

there is no digital audio output available, analog only.

btw, you can download the current user manual here:
