Hi All

My name is Rich. Just got my new 2box kit. I love it! The sounds are awesome and love the triggering (except having a nightmare with snare double triggering still)

I just connected the two box module to BFD2. My first time using the software. My first time ever doing any midi related stuff. I am assuming that the 2box module is recognised as in the Audio midi setup menu as a generic midi device. When I hit a pad on the kit should there be some indication of midi activity within BFD2?

When the screen pops up saying "please play midi note for hit" surely it should recognise a snare hit from the 2box? Do I need to load a particular map before that?

If anyone has any tips I'd be delighted. As I said I am very new to this.

Thanks
Rich

Hi Digital Drummer

Thanks for replying so quickly

I have literally plugged in the cables to the module and plugged the USB cable into my and started BFD2
Do I require any additional software?

Thanks
Rich

Not software. You actually need hardware : a USB/midi interface which goes into the Midi out on the module and your computer USB or FireWire input.

I use a Presonus Audiobox: http://www.presonus.com/products/AudioBox-USB
Much cheaper and very reliable is the M-audio Uno which I have also used with some success: http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Uno.html
There are heaps of cheap generic USB/MIDI interfaces, but it's a lottery: some work, most don't.
