Hi guys,

I'm having an odd issue with Cymbal input 3 when using single zone cymbals. I bought a Millenium single zone which works fine on a split tom input. I moved it to the Cymbal 3 input and I got a choked cymbal sound. I then cycled through the trigger types in Unit mode to CYM 13, 14 etc, and it works fine and I then save this setting. However everytime I reboot the module I get the choked cymbal sound again and I then have to cycle through the trigger types again to get it to work correctly.

Any ideas??

Cheers

To me it seems normal to have a choked sound with a monocymbal ( in any CYM,modes ) because it short circuits the "ring sleeve" connection ...

Thanks for the replies,

Fishmonkey - It does this with the stock or larger card.

edtc - I suppose that makes sense, but why does it work when I cycle through the trigger types?

Thanks

if that is the case then actually a good solution is to wire your own TS –> TRS cable, or you could buy a TRS –> TRS cable and modify it...

with the saving though, does the trigger type actually revert to the default setting?

Haggis-man

Fishmonkey - Yes the obvious solution is to rewire the jack to suit.

Cheers
