i have to say that it is better for all of us to test it in rb3. cause i think you can find con files to export the other rock bands to rb3 easily. i actually have a jtag xbox so no problems for me but it is generally better to check our rsettings in rb3. did you do  a calibration? also since volume of 2box affects trigerring, try to reduce or increase it and see what happens...

i will not disable my rims apar from snare, since in less than 4 days i will have added 3 new cymbals in my kit so the toms will be split. but seriously i dont understand why you dont want to make the cymbals one zone. for rock band, it is the best way. for me you should get an sd extender if you dont have, get a 4gb sd card and use it and its settings only for rock band. and have another card for drumming. thats what i do. otherwise it is terrible to alter settings every time i would wantto play rock band. also max2 type for me is essential. so that all hits get trigerred regardless of dynamics and how hard you hit...
i will wait your test with rb3, and i will do more testsmy self soon. take care mate and thanx for all your efforts

Well, i tried with RB2 because along with Greenday RB, that's the only games i had.
RB1, RB2, RB Greenday are all imported on RB3 along with a bunch of DLC so my plan is to play on RB3 only once i will get it back.

Why I don't want to put everything on Kick 1 and Max2 curve setting is just because i want to play along with the 2box module sound. So no Max2 for me.

I have to try if I keep edge sound for crash and bow sound for ride with Kick 1 setting. If it works, then i'll switch to this. But netherless, there no problem to play with the way I set them. Edge is sensitive enough on both crashes and i won't trigger the bell by accident too.

For the Hi hat, it is pretty convenient to have edge on yellow and blue on bow so i'll keep it like this.

my friendly advice is not to mix rock band with regular drumming. you need 2 sd cards my friend. otherwise you miss too many things from normal drumming. get an sd extender and another sd card. wont cost you more than 20 euros. and it is well worth it. i never regretted having 2 cards. i now have one 32 gb for normal 2box activity and another 4 gb just for rock band. and in that, i can feck up wit hsettings as much as i like. and have max2 curves in everything, and i like it@!!!!!1\

i am a bit drunk. welll talk more about it once i find some time and add some more experimental results. talk to you soon.

My Rockband 3 copy is back at home so i was able to play for 4 hours today.

I will keep my settings as is, they work really fine. I've tried to play while cutting down module sound and i didn't liked it. That was like if that wasn't me playing.

I couldn't 100% a song on expert but that is because i have problems to read what the game is throwing at me right now. Especially for fills.

I had my fun though, time consuming and I was exhausted after 4 hours of playing.

A side note : on what screen do you play ? I ask because many LCD TV have huge lag which is terrible when playing game like Rockband. You can calibrate it but that is never optimum as the lag is changing the more you play.

This is why I prefer to play on an good LCD monitor or a CRT TV, you don't need any calibration.

Hi,

Just plugged in my 2Box to PS3 and fired up Rock Band 3.
I read the thread and was able to set up my kit with the helpful advices you guys have posted here. One thing though, I'm not able to assign open/closed hihat as blue/yellow in-game notes.
If anyone has been able to figure this out it would be appreciated if the knowledge could be shared.

Thanks in advance :)
