Covers using the 2Box.

I like to do covers of songs that our band just won't touch... keeps my brain active learning new stuff! Anyway, since I came over to the orange side I haven't done a cover yet, until now!
The kit is not yet completed but there is enough on it to do this song.

If I do any more I'll post them up in here too.

Yep... all stocks sounds with some slight tuning tweaks. I'll have to check with instruments I used and post the list.
I am doing some of my own .dsnd files but I'm not all that happy with the results, so back to the drawing board on those.

Alright... I made 1 error, the snare is an SD 2.3 item, all the rest are stock.

Kit pieces are:
Hats - AAX_Xcel_14_HiHat    @  +0.7 tuning
Snare - SD2.3 GMS Piccolo
Toms - X_Shell 8,10,14,16
Kick - WAL_22_KICK_Ps_80    @ -1.0 tuning
Crash cymbals - AZ-16  (+.8 and -1.3 tuning)
Ride EU_20_Ride

2 questions

first of all i see you use the 2box hi hat. what are u using under it? do the 2 cymbals touch each ither when you splash the foot? does it make any sound? do you reccomend it, or is it just for the good looks?
and also, what are u using to make the cymbals swing so much? i love it

Under the hihat is a custom lower hat I made, to make the standard HiHat feel better when playing it. Yes they touch when you splash it, I have it set to play just like a Roland electronic hihat (like the VH12)

The cymbal swing comes from not much dampening, it feels way better to play them like this! I just use regular felt cymbal dampeners on top and bottom and don't tighten them down.

They have rotation stoppers on them... I am not using 2Box cymbals but Yamaha items.
See the "spikes" poking up through the middle sections?

rotation stoppers are specific to yamaha cymbals ... it wont work with 2box cymbals BA ....
