I now have my doubts about the Sandisk Extreme 32GB HD Video card being the same as the card that I have been using..... the one I have pictured in my above post. Here is why: I bought a new pair of the Sandisk Extreme 32GB HD Video cards as pictured in Manfred's post. I am building new dsnds right now from a new SD pack I purchased. So, I loaded my previous dsnds plus my new dsnds and copied all the important files to the new card. When testing it out .... and I tested over and over for hours .... I had latency problems and distorted clicks, pops etc ... from the new cards.... I then took my old cards and loaded all the exact same files on them and they play perfect! My new cards were in factory sealed packaging and were from a very reputable retailer, Adorama Camera. When I turn the module on with the HD Video type cards it takes approx. 14 seconds for everything to load ... ready to play. When I turn on the module with my older style card it takes approx. 7 seconds to load. This leads me to believe an important thing is different ... Access time..... lower access time is something Deve Loper mentioned as being very important to the 2Box module.

Now, I don't know if all the HD Video cards are the same, or if some are actually different models with new labeling applied ..... or if I got a bad batch ..... But I do know the ones I returned to Adorama today did not perform equivalent to my current ones I am using.

I have ordered a couple new cards which the retailer assured me are NOT the HD Video type and are the type I want..... I will report back after I receive and test the new cards, J
well i havent checked this thread for a while. i have the exact same card you have mate. mine is also filled with many dsnds etc. it also takes 14 seconds to load.

BUT i never noticed latency issues or clicks pops etc.
perhaps i am lucky. perhaps because i am not using self made dsnds but only the dsnds 2box has made, i have no problems. i wish i am not forced in the future to change the card. but right now i am satisfied 100%

I still have a three of the Sandisk Extreme 32GB cards (the ones that DO NOT say HD Video) and they are fine, but every other one I tried with the HD Video on the label had problems. I have a half dozen of the Lexar 32GB cards I posted pics of earlier and they all work perfect. Latency problems may not become apparent on the stock 2Box kits, but when adding a little larger custom built dsnds the rubber meets the road so to speak.
I could tell you where to stick that piezo! :D ;)

since now my mind is set to buying a  new sd card, is the lexmark the cheapest but best and most secure option? as long as it says 133x?
i found 2 links

are they both what i need? thanx
Yes the ones pictured in your links are the same type as I have been using. I am a little concerned about how much longer those type of Lexar cards will be available, like the other brands Lexar has now come out with new models with new labeling. So I think this model will start to become extinct just like the way the Sandisk Extreme cards changed.... Might be time for me to stock up when I get some extra $$$

Hi!

Lexar Pro 32GB are 65€ in my country (France) so I decided to try the Transcend 32GB class 10 at 25€, I cross fingers and will see (it's not expensive anyway) and will give you my feedback!

I have this Transcend 32GB Class 10 and noticed the latency problems with it.

I will buy the lexar now!
Yes, I didn't notice the latency problems with the Transcend Class 10 32GB immediately, but did discover it eventually. That is what led to my search and eventually the Lexar.

Ok, I just had time to cancel the order of the transcend 32GB and took the Lexar for 15€ more, hope it's worth the money! :)

Besides, I ordered the following SDHC extension: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110878130293&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:FR:3160

Lexar has just launched a new 600x version of its Professional SD range.

RRP is $169. Obviously, it is not yet tested for 2box, so this is just a heads-up. It probably also means the current stock of cards may soon be running out.

I doubt this card will work at 600x (90mb/s) speed once connected to the module.  These newer cards require the hardware/slot to be SDXC UHS-I compliant, and I am not sure if the 2Box module meets that standard.  The card should still work but it will perhaps run at the default class 10 speed, rather than the class 1 UHS speed.

I may be wrong of course but just a heads up for people to check before they buy as these cards are more expensive and may not use the extra speed.

60gb SSD's are around £60 now in the UK - I wish 2Box would just add a little to the module's cost and fit a small SSD - then we would have no more speed worries for home made .dsnds and plenty room.

Yeah, and they have another relabeled Class 10 card UHS-1, not expensive .... but .... :

I had posted about that a week or 2 back in answer to someone's question looking for a Lexar card. So, as you say, the old style will start to disappear and all bets are off with the new ones. If it is like the Sandisk Extreme cards when they changed to the UHS-1 labels those were a no go.
