did you have it working before, and now it has stopped working?

or are you just setting it up for the first time?

i don't remember the exact details, but the drumit.dkit file format changed between OS versions. perhaps you trying to load the drumit.dkit file from OS 1.1 using the newer OS?

davul

thanks for your answer
I think its a problem occured during format process. Dsdn files just was disapearing in folders, and it had shown 1,5 GB more files then there were as a matter of fact (there were 3,5 GB samples on the original card). At the moment I succesfullly started the module with small amount dsnd files on it and using 1.24 version of OS (only) on the card.
Thanks a lot again, and sorry for my english.

Really, really not a good idea to format these cards, they do NOT need to be formatted.
I could tell you where to stick that piezo! :D ;)

if you have already formatted the card though, try again using the formatting program from here:

to fishmonkey: yes indeed, I made format using this stuff

to jman: there was no way, the card was used in video camcorder and before i made format it couldn't be seen by 2box and windows too

The card is working strange: I have to copy system files first, then I have to copy sample files, Everything works right till I reach some capacity of files (about 2GB). For example: I load everything beside Cymbals folder and it works properly. When I copy Cymbals folder it becomes empty, the module can't see those samples. Windows can't see those Cymbals too, folder has 0 B, but capacity of the card is reduced by real capacity of this folder.

fishmonkey

apologies if this is a stupid question, but how are you accessing the card? do you have the card mounted in a card reader attached to your computer?

You might need to get a different card, I had a couple cards that did similar (not the new unformatted Lexar card, but other cards that wouldn't work unless formatted) ... I'd get things loaded to a certain point ... then checking the card afterwards they would disappear ... a new card solved it .... Also, I found there are lots of problems with various card readers ... I have a card reader in my PC that does weird things like what you mention and it is not old, but there are problems that have made it useless now for me .... probably conflicts between the card reader and my PC ..... I was planning on replacing that built in reader .... but then I have found just using a USB cable and a cheap card reader like this.... works great for me:

unfortunately, this card can't be started, i resigned after the low format process is done. Are there the same problems with low capacity cards?

Not sure what is causing you problems, but I just got 2 more of the same new Lexar 32GB cards and filled them with files, about 25GB worth on each one and they are working fine in my card extender plugged into the module ...

Anyone looking for a Lexar 32GB card in Oz, there's currently free shipping here: http://www.crazysales.com.au/lexar-32gb-sdhc-hd-card.html.
I bought mine there (not free shipping) and it was perfect.

MarkuZ

I have this Transcend 32GB Class 10 and noticed the latency problems with it.

I will buy the lexar now!

Drama

I am using the Transcend 32GB SDHC Card. It is working perfectly! But it is NOT the Class10, it's the Class4 (!) Version.
With the Silicon 32 GB Class10 SDHC-Card I had have a lot of latency-Problems!

=> So, it is very important, which Chip is used in the Card. Unfortunately no one can give You an answer to this question.

=> So, buy any Card and try it out! :)

one possible explanation for this is that the Class 10 version of the Transcend card may be improving it's transfer speeds by simply using a bigger buffer, which in turn increases access latency. better cards won't sacrifice access times to increase raw transfer speeds.

unfortunately, one can't even guarantee that two of the exact same model card will have the same performance, since the SD card speed ratings only specify minimum transfer speeds, not access times.
