Reviving this thread, I got my hihat 'chicks' triggering properly using a sensitivity of 2, I also set put my hihat not to high on the stand and loosen the spring tension on my iron cobra stand, currently on the second step.

Before that, 'pedal' triggered the zone 4, bow, every time, it's annoying so you have to try different combinations of hardware and software settings to get a proper 'chick', no pun intended....

Nice kits! Tempting to post mine (again). I'm close in adding a Zildjian Gen16 to my setup. It will improve my hihat skills and 2 extra cymbals. :). Wisest thing is to wait for the announced improved gen's in June. But is a drummer a wise man?

Get 'em while they are on sale! The new pickups will be available for purchase separately, the cymbals will be the same as the current ones.

Here is my Kit, it consists of roland pads, roland hardware, tama hardware, 1 Drumtec diabolo 12" snare in silver sparkle, a couple of kit toys cymbals and the most important piece, the orange brain. I'm considering a 2box cymbal to replace my cy15 so I can have 3 zones.

The Musikmesse starts on the 10th of April, do you guys think there will be some new stuff from 2box for us? I can see new hardware coming and finally the option to get a bigger SD card.... the big T over here in Europe is listing the 2box kit as 'on request' which for me is a good sign ;D

I was there last year and it was impressive, too many things to see, sadly this year I can't make it but eagerly expecting for some 2box surprises this year!

when  you update the software, all your unit/kits settings remain untouched. But to be on the safe side don't forget to make a backup before you update it.

But now I have another issue..... on my 2 pdx'8 I'm using as floor toms, non splitted, hitting the rim triggers the head no matter how I set the gain and threshold, currently at gain 0 and threshold -12, always triggers the head.... the only option I've discovered so far is to turn of the rim sound completely using the +- setting...  :(

Those splitters from Drumsplitters.com are not for the 2Box module. Those are specific splitters that are made for splitting the tom or aux. inputs of the Roland TD-9/11/15/20 or TD-30 modules. Definitely NOT what you want for the 2Box tom

You're right señor jman, I just assumed those splitters would do it but nope, I had a couple of those hosa y cables you pointed me at and plugged them into the module and voila! No need to crank up the xtalk on my pdx! No more triggering the head when hitting the splitted rim!

Are you sure the cable you use are splitters ?  it sounds like you have a headphone doubler...

Yep, I'm using splitters form drumsplitters.com. I have good news, after fiddling around more this morning I now have perfect response from all my pdx pads :patbat2box:

Now to get those cy14 and cy15 on board ::)

gain 1 , tresh: 44  curve norm ... but i dont use tre rim sensor ...

Are you splitting the pad? I'm having the oppsite problem as the OP, my kit toys splash and china splitted from the tom1 and tom2 rims trigger the head sound.... I've tried with gain and threshold but still cant get a clean rim sound...

yes , i still use one PDX8 and it works great for me ...

awesome, mind sharing your trigger settings?

I meant the pd105x and the pd125x, you know, the shiny chrome pads with interchangeable wraps. Are you still using your pdx8's? I'm asking because I own 2 pdx6 and 2 pdx8 and I'm seriously considering coming back to the orange side 8)

Roland Pads are known to be too hot for the 2box. I tried the older series pd1x5-x and didn't manage to set them up right. I guess now with the new developed rim triggering of the new pd1x8 series the issue got worst..... and these new pads are hotter....
