When using the speedlight hihat there's no need to calibrate it, just set it as 2box type and turn the raw knob fully clockwise or "positive", you may need to reset the module first to factory settings.

Whoever makes a cable adapter for the hihat gets my money

on thomann there's the drumit 3 and they show on the photos the first kit called "De_Fruende_1", anyone has any idea of where this kit comes from?

Hey that's a great idea! I'm going to test it soon as well, by the way, I found the midi note for hihat splash and it's 48, it could be fun to test all midi notes on the 2box since there are some hidden things there... from 1 to 127, maybe there is some CC hidden there for positional sensing...

I have an efnote 7 set, I also have a 2box drumit 3 module, I tried triggering the 2box via midi only from the efnote, here are my findings:
* The cymbals won't choke, not even with the latest 2box 1.40 unofficial os. The cymbal notes cannot be modified individually in the 2box, the efnote sends aftertouch to choke the cymbals but it's not what the note the 2box expects, it seems it sends aftertouch but it doesn't receive it.
* the hihat sucks (no surprise there), you have to change all the notes to the bow note, it triggers CC4 but the pedal note always trigger a splash.
* the kick, snare and toms trigger fine, you have to increase the sensitivity on the efnote though. By default the hardest hit is around 80.
*At the end what I did is connect the snare kick and toms directly to the 2box and the cymbals to the efnote, then I send the audio from the efnote to the 2box.

Almost 3 years after now and still no new official firmware from 2box, come on 2box, I know you read this forum, just let us know if you have dropped the ball....

The MIDI part still sucks, there's no way of changing anything but the note, no midi thru, no local control and the aftertouch is only sent and not received, lots of missing stuff still.

1 year later and still no update for 2box, why? What's the excuse now?

I tried the cc16 with SD3 and EZD3 this morning, the mimic works best with EZD3 since it needs only center and edge sounds, one can clearly hear center and edge articulations played accurately whereas with SD3 you have 3 zones but the transition among them is not great with the mimic, it jumps from off-center to edge, I remember you could select how many zones you wanted but now I can't find how to do that. Anyway, standalone works great with an efnote 14" snare, smooth transition between center and side sounds.

Update is live now, I guess the great lustark will have a busy weekend...
A big letdown: the instrument editor won't support hihats...

Position sense is now sent on CC16, let's see if it can compete with roland...
