So Jman, that means we can use your conversion box even with the 2box hihat? I like it and dont want to get something else.

I converted a cheap pearl snare 14" to electronic using a trigger bar from r-drums and I'must say it's awesome! It triggers perfectly out of the box! just minimal tweaking to make the rim less hot but overall it's pretty good. For those in Europe who are trying to convert their a-kits should give rdrums  a chance. Alan did a small review in the latest dig drum mag and as well.

I had the mesh really tight until I couldn't tighten it more,  that was the problem, I'm used to overtighten the roland heads, but I reckon the 2box mesh heads don't need that much violence...
Now my kick triggers perfectly, but too loose and you get double triggers, too tight and you wont get any sound.

Ahh, remember when whe used to pay $75 for a 32 GB card, well, those times are over... I picked a transcend 32 like this for only â,¬22. I already installed it and it works like a charm

The yamaha pdcy135 and pcy155 are known to work well with 2box, not sure about the 3 zones though, I think that's a no...

If I recall, EZ Drummer 2 won't allow you to modify the midi mapping, so you will have to map the hihat it using cubase... which is not an easy task... or buy Superior Drummer 2...

I converted a cheap pearl snare export using a triggerbar from rdrums and left the mylar reso head but it was loud!! sounded like a high pitched tiny timbale... so I think the kick will be similar... as jman said, use dampening.

thanks Jman, first of all I will use mainly my headphones, the PM-3 is only used when my wife wants me to play her more than a feeling or something... So, I will have to explore the manual's mixer section and try it...
I split the headphone out and plugged the throne thumper and headphones into it, but of course my headphones were only in mono...
What is clear to me is that I can plug the pm-3 into the 1-2 outputs, the line in on the line in, and what I have to experiment is with the throne thumper, since I would like to use it with the whole kit and not only with the kick and as I mentioned, exclude the line in so the songs I'm playing won't affect the thumper, which is rather annoying...
Maybe I can route the kick and toms to, say, output 3 and plug the thumper there?

question for the routing experts, I want to do the following:

Connect a pearl throne thumper to my 2box
Connect a roland PM-03 monitor using both outputs R+L, not only mono. how and where?

which output should I use from the module, and how do I set up the routing so that the throne thumper responds to low frequencies from all the drums but not from the line-in input?

Anyone using a kick as a 4th tom? Since I'm using a roland Kt-10, which works perfectly with the 2box, I wanted to ask that since I can't get a decent volume out of the pad, I set it as a pad10 and pad12 and neither deliver, I've increased the gain with no luck, the only way I could get a decent volume is by using the max1 curve LOL....

Ladies and gentleman I want to announce that after long consideration I've decided that looks are not that important... that's why I sold all my roland stuff and I'm back to the orange side
