Selling a 2box Drumit 3 module with the SD Card Mod, bought in august this year, includes a 32GB SD Card with Superior Drummer 3 kits, 600 EUR plus shipping to the European Union.

Yes the 2box splash and chick implementation is unique, there's no midi note assigned to the splash but it's triggered by the time threshold of the pedal note. if the pedal it's released quickly it triggers a splash sound, otherwise it triggers a "semi" chick note, semi because it's just a splash sound with shorter decay.I've tried a mimic pro,an efnote and edrumin sending midi to the 2box, all react as you describe, they all trigger a splash and chick at the same time, there's no way to change that in the 2box so triggering it via midi works for all pads but for the hihat is not usable.

Setup guides and tips / Re: Roland BT-1 with 2Box

Yeah, I tried all the pad types available on a tom input and the PS type was the most responsive but I couldn't get rid completely of the false triggering. Using a cymbal input is not an option right now since I have 2 3-zone crashes. Another option could be a used td-11 and plug the bt-1 directly to it and send the audio to the 2box since the midi note for the x-stick (37) isn't, after all these years, being recognized by 2box...

I did more tests using a midi monitor app, unfortunately the bt-1 is triggered when hitting the rim closer to it, left side hits are no problem but right hand hits are triggering the bt-1, I've tried all xtalx and threshold settings and no matter what I get false triggers, so no go with the 2box.

I can confirm cymbal 1 is quieter in 1.40, also the ride or cymbal 2 drops notes, back to 1.36.3 for now

The metronome is routed to 3+4 by default so don't panic if you can't hear it in your headphones, go to the Unit>Out page, press more and M Out together and change it to Mix.

Setup guides and tips / Roland BT-1 with 2Box

I bought a BT-1 and used it as a sidestick on my converted snare, I connected it to the tom 4 input and set it up as PS pad but got false triggers when hitting the rim and then the strangest thing: when I record it to login the sidestick wasn't recorded! the midi note wasn't sent either! So it seems to be true that the 2box doesn't send a sidestick note when using a pad type other than PSS.

Next I split it with the tom 2 and left the pad type as rim, now I don't get false triggers when hitting the rim and the side stick note is sent as tom 2 rim with the side stick note assigned to it. So that's the solution, use it only splitted with a tom and you will get great results and will record everything ok.

BTW, the module came with a "Kingston Canvas Select Plus" 4GB Micro SD card in an adapter.

I've tried the GEWA cymbals and the latest version has reduced the hotspots drastically, the play well on the drumit 3 and 5 but are a bit noisier than the roland. Rebound is better because they're harder and heavier.

Yes, the Xtlk settings introduced with 1.34 are for me the culprit of the latency, it's not the samples, as I mentioned many times I've sent the samples to all the 2box experts out there and none could find anything wrong with them.
#11
It will work but it needs a stereo input, you cannot split it, so if you have an input free then it will work
#12
So, after spending all weekend exporting and testing kits with SDSE, I just went for the best solution: install the old 1.32.4 OS version and the latency is not an issue anymore, I split my toms anyway, if you need more pads you can get a second module.
#13
Ok, I decided to keep it, I was going the split the toms anyway to add more cymbals so I set all their X-Trig to off and that helped to reduce the latency to a minimum even with decay set to infinity, for me this setting is the culprit of the latency with samples loaded from SD3.

So I tried the edrumin with the 2box and efnote pads, all cymbals and pads reacted well as side sensor pad type, the cymbals supported bell sense with one cable but not that reliably, I could get SD3 positional sensing on the 14" snare but only center and off center hits. I was not able to get the hihat working via midi in, every pedal note triggered a splash as well, no way to separate those.
