Have you tried to play along with an external input track, the sound only gets distorted when triggering samples at the same time, otherwise it sounds good.
Bengt said that they are aware of the input problem, and every unit so far has it, but the problem will be fixed in the next update

I did play alaong, but can't recall any major issues? Unless I was just happy I had the kit! haha.

Anyway, i have been slack recently due to work commitments but hope to get to mess with the kit tomorrow!

But at this point the mix in doesn't work... the the sounds get distorted ones listening to a external source. But there is a fix on the way

My line input works absolutely fine? I didn't know there was an issue with this?

Hello,
Does anybody know if there are songs
included in the drumit 5 module, and how
many ?
And are there well known songs ?
And can I plug an ipod on my module
and does it read mp3 songs ?

Yes there are original songs included in the module, there were 18 on mine, in all different styles.
There are no 'well known' songs on there.
You can plug anything in with a small jack plug.
The unit will play any format through the jack input, but will only at present play .wav files actually on the unit.

If I'm right Scott, it's when you hit the kick, the beater hits the pad, then the pad moves away from you slightly on impact, then on return to it's 'resting' spot it hits the beater again which (mis)triggers....

Hi all - here is our EP online:

http://www.machinesband.co.uk/prerelease.htm
http://www.machinesband.co.uk/observations.htm (hover over the centre of the screen)

quite old now (well a year and a bit). no electronic kit but some nice tunes...

We may be calling it a day soon due to issues out of our control, but we should have a couple more recordings...

Hmm, and I take it you can't navigate to the unit from your PC and delete the .wav's?

I think we may have to wait for Scottie or Bengt for this one.... there are some files flying around but not that will reset the unit....

I can't check tonight as not at home! Stupid work have me down in the big smoke until tomorrow night! Grrrr.

Not sure whether you can at all? Is there anything in the manual?

and forgot to say... Don't lose faith!!!
#158
Hi I had a similar issue, have you tried re-copying the same files over to the unit?
#159
let us know how you get on.....

i see it as "we have to dampen and make sacrifices with our acoustic kits, so why not our e-kits too"

we don't live in an ideal world unfortunately....

Just doublesided sticky tape on the head itself.

It is quite noisy anyway (actual physical sound of the kick being played) I can't see any way round this really. But the foam does reduce it slightly. I think the main issue the rebouce of the actual kick as it's only fixed at the bottom so will always bounce when hit. Maybe I might do a makeshift 'prop' to stop this? Or maybe they might improve the hardware?

In regards to the HH, I don't really have that much of an issue, maybe my playing is a lot different to everyone else. But closed/open, closed->open, open->closed, and foot->closed works fine for me? I don't do a lot of half closed to be honest... not even on the acoustic kit...

Hi Micke, I was very frustrated with the kick also on first impressions, but then I loosened the mesh head and also taped on a piece of foam this way ghost hits don't trigger, I also turned down the sensitivty so that only real kicks were triggering, I know this is not ideal, but it meant I have absolutely no problems recording now.

Hi cabalestra

Nice write up. Just wondered did you try turning up the individual rim volume?

Thanks
Scott

Hi Scott. Actually, I did not know I could do it (and how). Does this mean that the side-stick issue can already be solved?

I think you press More + Snare (or whichever tom you want to up the rim volume) and then you can edit the parameters for the rim.

I thought he was saying he loaded the module since it was more in line with the topic of the thred but now I think it's he's got it working with bfd and superior in his computer.

Sorry, didn't realise for importing into the unit!

Has any actually tried this yet? by moving the BFD sound files into the unit via USB? I could try and give it a whirl?

Works well on my touch Diamond!

If you need any help with the forum UC, let me know!
#165
I will try and get that for you, not saved as a map, but should be fine... give me a day or so!
