Thanks Steve, but I got a great deal on one (and it already has the SD Card mod done, which saves me a job  :) )

Managed to get most of the bits I need for my custom kit now..... Would still be interested in a 2Box kick pedal if anyone has one (just because I would like it all to 'match'  :D ).
Also, anyone got and rack feet they could sell? Found them online here:
https://www.andertons.co.uk/2box-circular-rubber-foot-from-rack-post
But £8 each plus £5 postage seems a lot.... I'm hoping to build mine on a 3 sided rack, but that's still nearly £30 for 3 rubber feet??

Hi!
I'm putting together a custom Drumit5 kit from parts. Particularly looking for:

Drumit5 module (or d3 if it's cheap enough)
Drumit bass pedal
Rack clamps / tom arms / cymbal arm
10" Tom(s)
Rack feet
Possibly hihat or cymbal pad

Prefer to stick with 2box parts if possible.....

If you have anything for sale in the UK, please let me know.

Cheers

Thanks for the thoughts/suggestions. If I can find a 2nd kit cheap enough then using the hihat circuitry probably makes more sense than trying to sell the Hihat separately and then buying a jman box (or similar).
If I end up buying a d5 brain and then building up a kit, then I can get a jman box and then build from there.

I actually had a Millenium cable hihat for a while when I was playing acoustic/hybrid. Quite a good solution, but difficult to transport safely, and after a year or so the cable joint on the pedal started to come away.
As mentioned above, not needing a link between my left foot and hihat is one of the benefits of edrums….

Excellent, thanks.
I noticed some of the early web articles/reviews mentioned 2box pads from 8" to 16" - were any of these sizes ever available??

e-drum DIY / modifications / 10" / 12" Drum Pads

Is there any difference between the 10" and 12" pads (apart from 2"  ;D )
I want to put together a smaller kit based on a Drumit5, and I was wondering if I could use a 10" tom pad as a snare and get the same response / playability?

I'm considering a 2nd hand Drumit5, but I like to play centre hihat so ideally I want to swap out the 2Box Hihat stand for a separate pedal and cymbal.
Reading on here, it looks like it should be possible using one of the hihat controller boxes and then modifying a Roland/Yamaha/Alesis HH pedal.
If I then use a different make cymbal pad for the hihat (perhaps a smaller one), can I re-use the 2Box Hihat as another cymbal?
Is the 'top' Hihat the same trigger as the crash cymbal?

Hi all, newbie here, but long time drummer...
Played acoustic, electric and hybrid kits for 40ish years including Mapex, Traps, Roland (kits and SPD pads), Alesis DMPro, and a ddrum4 for quite a while.
Gave up gigging a few years back, and have been mostly programming (using VSTs like Addictive drums) recently.
Hoping to get an electric kit for home use / enjoyment / stress relief soon, so re-appraising myself of the current market.

Having used VSTs recently, I've become used to having 'main' and 'edge' samples of drums, and use them quite extensively.
I'm trying to decide if 'positional sensing' is a huge benefit to electric drums, or just another marketing gimmick

Any thoughts / opinions? Either from a 2box perspective, or other manufacturers?

Thanks
Paul
