I think a lot of guys have moved on to straight  vst's,  edrumin and a few to other modules, Mimic , Td 50,  alesis strike pro etc. I dont gig. Just a home hobbier, so the Mimic to me is too much of an expense for me,   not making money playing . Anyway good to hear you are still around

Are we going to have a funeral or just a cremation for our DEAD Forum? What happened here? Everybody jumped ship when we went down hard the last time? I have been a member here for about 8 years under 2 different user names. Stoked2 and Hemiboy1. We always had a lot of interesting posts with great questions and answers, kit pics, tech advise, etc. Now,  one can go days without seeing a new post! Hope we can get this going again because as of right now,  this forum is BORING!!!

Anybody using a Stealthdrums hi hat conversion with the new Drumit5 Mk2 Module? Been  Wrestling with it for a few hours and can't get it right!  Need some basic settings to get started . More involved but I know it will be better than the old hi hat when I am done! Just getting lazy! Just want to play!

Still have my original 2Box Module and just bought the new version on a whim. How about you guys. Anybody out there who has owned both? Curious what y'all think are better sounds? I gotta say,  I like the stock sounds in the original version better. As a matter of fact I am trying to figure out why I bought the new version to begin with. The card slot is finicky and the words snare, kick, hi hat, etc.on the module face don't  light up on the new version! I got a clip on light to use to shine on them  but a  stupid design really! I will keep the new module and get the old sounds on a card as I will be using mainly vst's!

General 2box Drumit 5 forum / Need a 32 gig conversion kit
September 15, 2020, 04:44:37 AM
Hi guys . Out of the blue my hi hat fell over and ripped out and destroyed my external 32 gig conversion kit from my Drumit 5 module.  Now that my buddy Jman is gone (RIP) , I need another source to buy one. Anybody? Thanks, Jeff

Yes but they have to club you with shipping which is understandable. I can wait as  my pads were all built  by Jman and I have his 32 gig conversion and hi hat . All I would be gaining is a new look, some hi hat improvements. I think I can also get some of the new sounds from it off the website! A plan that popped in my head recently was to leave the old one and my mini kit in NJ and build a new kit in Florida with A Pearl Mimic Pro. We will see!

Guy and Gals. I am thinking about buying another drumit 5 module new( 5 mk2 version)and keeping the old Drumit 5 Mk1 Module . Either way, they both will need power supplies.  I live in the US so I assume buying from Europe,  the power supply from there would not work. Anybody here in the Us that bought the new module and where did you get a compatible power supply and what model is it.?Also do you know if the power supply from the old version module is  compatible with the new Mk2 version module? I hear they are using a mini card in the new module?  If so what exact one . I just bought some cards and a good card reader for my old module. Am I correct  in thinking that  they wont work with the new one? I heard that you load the card in a mini slot now? Please bring me up to date as I am the worst with technology but trying to deal with it once and for all.

Edcito, I had already checked the head tension but thanks. I actually took another look at the cone height . Where I normally had them for my Stealth drum triggers apparently werent quite hi enough. I  raised the cone heights which is not the actual triggertriggers as the real trigger is one side mounts and the cones were just put in to keep the level of the head sitting on them uniform across the head. That in turn pressed down a little more on the actual trigger cone and we are good. Now I am getting correct triggering. Never thought the triggers were not good triggers, just figured they were new to me and I had to get an idea how they
Worked. My new snare  sounds great now! I am glad it was only  the cone height because I have always heard how grest these triggers are. Mike from Drone is a great guy and I have already sent some people his way! I remember him back to the original Kit Toys days

I already had a message  into Mike when I posted. He sent me some parameters and it is  not triggering right with his settings . It has to be something else. I Started experimenting with some adjustments here and there. It only triggers when you are right on or near the trigger . Head tension is fine, so I am  going to  raise the cone height . Originally put the cone heights  about one eighth  above bearing edge . Gonna go a little higher and see what happens. Plugged in my Jman ism 6 perfect and percect. So just ha e to figure this out. No biggie!

Hi Guys. I recently bought another snare and because our buddy Jman is gone,  I have decided to try a Drone Halo Trigger side mount system for one of my other snares.  I am looking for help with trigger parameters for this trigger system with our beloved 2 box module. If it matters I have the orange original Drumit 5 version  1module
