I decided to put a quick guide to using the 2Box Editor or other programs like Drumit Mgr. using the 2Box Card after doing the external Card Mod. It all works fine, but the problem most have is you will get an Error the first time you try to use the Editor. The reason for the Error is the Editor needs to find your Card's Drumit File. Also, once you navigate the the Drumit file the first time in your Card Reader, from then on the Editor will go directly to your Drumit file as long as you are using the same reader on your computer, and you will not get the Load Error msg. again. Here are 5 pictures that will simplify things:

When you Open the Editor and get the Error, Press OK:
2Box Editor Load Error by Jman Stealth, on Flickr
Then Click on the Kit Bar which is next to the Sound Bar:
Editor Press Kit Bar Next to Sound Bar by Jman Stealth, on Flickr
Then you can Navigate to the Card Reader or Drive with your 2Box Card:
Editor Press Kit Bar by Jman Stealth, on Flickr
Highlight and Open your Drumit file:
Editor navigate to Drumit file by Jman Stealth, on Flickr
Whoalla ... now you are ready to go:

I am working on a new cable system for my kit. More on that later

The manual says that the Drumit 3 has:

10 x Trigger inputs
4 x Control Input for Hihat and Cymbals.

ALL are stereo jacks.

Why is the bassdrum a stereo jack?
The original Drumit Five kits came with a Bass Drum that had a light. And the Kick input powered that light via the Ring of the input. Not sure on the Drumit Three, but the Drumit Three is a direct decendent of the Five.

hi everybody, I am a new drumit three user, I wonder if anybody have the same problem that i got with my module (cause i think is a module problem), i purchased a couple of month ago the drumit three and I'm using it with the drumit triggers also, anyway,  everytime  when im playing i feel like the sounds it cuts by itself for a fraction of second,  it's like a kind of interference that you listen when you take the plugs out (or somethimg like that), and that happens often, is really annoying by the way, so if somebody can help with this please just let me know guys.
have a good drumming   :drum3:
We have a few threads about problems pertaining to the SD card of the Di3. There were a number of Drumit 3 modules released with a Bad SD card. Contact 2Box with your info and serial no. They can tell if yours is a module with that card and will replace it. J

Oh definitely. 1. It's WAY faster. 2. It doesn't require the module powered up and connected in order to transfer files and 3. Way more space.

Remember though, once installed the USB connection on the module is totally redundant.
Not just redundant, if you try to use the USB on the module with the extender installed and the card in the extender you stand a good chance of RUINING the card ......  :'(

I would say contact 2Box or where you bought it. There was a problem encountered by a few at least on some of the early units. They had a BAD SD Card:

Well...what an adventure.

The card that 2Box sent me from Sweden seemingly got lost (either Post Nord or Canada Post).

So the Canadian distributor (Efkay Music) sent me one, instead.

After removing the knobs, all of the plug-nuts, and screws (YOU NEED A T10 TORX!!!), I got in there and replaced the card.

BAM! Not a single glitch was heard after more than an hour of playing!

So, if anyone is having a similar problem, it is probably because the module has one of these older INTENSO SD-cards.
Needless to say, they are not the highest quality, and I am fairly certain 2Box is not using that brand in the newer modules, so it probably means others won't have to deal with this issue going forward!

And yes, I am in paradise now... no more interruptions wrecking my Zen.

General 2Box Drumit 3 Forum / Re: Cymbal swells?
October 14, 2018, 04:15:15 AM
I've been using the Di3 for my extra stuff, like Octobans, Gong, chimes, second/side snare and extra cymbals, etc. So I haven't really checked out the cymbal swells on the Di3. But I can definitely say that with the Di5 it depended very much on the cymbal/instrument choice, a couple I found worked pretty well, so I would always keep one of the Crashes assigned to a cymbal that worked for the swell .... I would suggest going through all the crashes in the Di3 and test them. And be aware that every cymbal instrument whether in the Di3, the Di5 .... or any that are on the 2Box website, those can all be used in either module.

I've seen several posts by people buying and liking this case from Harbor Freight:

Hi!
I’ve just bought the D3 and have been looking for a case to put it in. I’ve looked online and can’t find the dimensions for the module. Does anybody know the dimensions or can anyone recommend a good case for it please?
L = 12"
W = 6 1/2"
D = 2 1/2"

Does anybody have a few good kick
Samples to share.

I don’t like the standard kick samples in
The Drumit Three module.

Please help.
Hi Roel, if you still have your Drumit Five, any Kick .dsnd that you had for the Drumit Five will also work in the Drumit Three. You may already know that ... but just mentioning it ..... That goes for all the .dsnds, Drumit Three will work in the Drumit Five, Drumit Five .dsnds will work in the Drumit Three.

So I set up a kit with trigger settings and I cannot seem to get it to save. It says "save?" but hitting the button will not change a thing. I can however change drum voices and have it save just fine. I have owned a 2box drumit5 for everal years before it crapped out so I understand most of the functions. I tried pushing save and seing if it worked after shutting down but no luck. Does it matter what kit bank I am using? I have four different kits I move the brain around to and the first one ( the drumit r-something I use for roland pads) saved fine but the drumit kit I try to set with original pads and triggered gen 16's is a no go.
Do you have the SAVE function turned ON? That is on page 59 of the owner's manual. And covered in the Quick Start Guide:
4 Saving Your Settings
Any changes you make can be saved internally.
Important:  Your settings can only be saved after unlocking the SAVE function in
the UNIT-PREF menu (you only need to do so once). Press the
leftmost DATA button to switch the SAVE function “On”.

Saving one KIT
Changes you wish to keep after editing the settings on a KIT page require that you
save the KIT in question.
If the settings of selected KIT no longer correspond to the stored version, a “?”
symbol appears next to SAVE on the KIT home page.

Press the leftmost DATA button above the display.

Pressing the button above SAVE yet again will write your changes to the selected
KIT.

There is a set of heads on their website called mesh heads for 2box drumit five. So naturally I bought those. Even still they don't make 10 1/4" or 9 15/16" heads
Since those are supposed to fit I assume you contacted 682Drums, right?

Hello I just got some 682 black mesh heads for my kit.  I was wondering if anyone has had a problem putting these heads on.  The snare and kick were fine but the tom heads are so tight I can't even get all the bolts on the rim. I have tried tightening the bolts I can get on hoping the mesh will stretch but no luck I can only get four of the six bolts on the rim.

Did you order the specific heads for your kit? Like most do on forums when asking tech questions .....  you don't list enough info to actually answer ........ Because if it was for the 2Box drums they are different. There is a thread from 4 years ago about that.
https://www.2box-forum.com/index.php/topic,2143.msg18852.html#msg18852
And they have specific heads for different brand drums at 682Drums.

Just had my adapter delivered per the link. FRIED!!!! NOT GOOD!!!! My 2box fired up and flickered then it smelled of burning and I believe is dead! My old adapter when hooked to a multi-meter read 0.0-0.1 replaced with 18vac 1000mA that is on the end of that link.
As I mentioned above. The module requires 500MA. The adapter "Can" supply up to 1000MA..... but the module only uses what it requires. The 1000MA is NOT what caused whatever problem you had. You can do a search on the internet to verify that. 18VAC is important though. Did the module fry the earlier power supply?
