3 Monster kits is more than I need. I would say this is the most versatile of all my Stealth drumkits. This is the DW/Pacific Exotic kit with the drop in pan trigger conversion. The finish is Kurillian Birch, absolutely beautiful drums! Included are the original acoustic heads (never used). The converted drums can be quickly changed back for acoustic play simply by removing the drop in pan trigger assembly and switching from the mesh to acoustic head.
The drumkit is one of my Monster kits. The kick is 22" X 18", the snare on this one is the special Solid wood matching 14" X 5.5" snare, this is the special purchase snare, more $$$$ .... not the standard multi-Ply snare that comes stock with the kit. This acoustic snare is over $400 by itself to buy. I have 5 toms from 8" to 16"(floor). I also have a matching 12" aux. Snare I built myself, plus a couple of matching 1/2 toms, 10 and 12". All of the drums are dual zone except the Kick which is single zone, and work excellent with the 2Box module as well as other edrum modules.
I will be selling the kit in a minimum 6 pc. configuration. Kick, 4 toms and snare. This is a shell pack configuration, drums and original shell pack hardware only (rack not included). Mesh and original acoustic heads included.

6 pc. kit 2 possible configurations: with 10", 12", 14" Rack toms, 16" Floor tom or with 8", 10", 12" and 14" Rack toms: $1750 Shipped in continental US.
7 pc. kit with all toms: $2000 shipped in continental US
I will price out the Aux. Snare and 1/2 toms later if the kit sells or I can give a complete price if someone is interested in everything.
Here is a picture of this Kurillian Birch kit:  https://files.secureserver.net/0sp96ou8Y5pdLf

Alternate choice, same configuration as the other kit only the Exotic Birdseye Burst. The snare on this is also the special Solid maple snare with Birdseye maple finish not the standard/cheaper snare that comes standard with the kit. This special, excellent snare alone costs over $400 to buy.
This kit is a different triggering system, my multi piezo setup (5 piezos on snare and toms). This one works excellent with the 2Box Drumit Five module as well as other modules.

I can except Paypal, and send an invoice via your email account, or contact me for info on sending a cashier check or money order.

These kits perform absolutely superb! Besides being excellent Stealth E kits, they are incredible acoustic kits also .... plus some major Eye Candy!
Here is a pic of the Stealth Birdseye Maple kit: https://files.secureserver.net/0swKOqgYWmYVbz

I have plenty of videos up on my website performing demos on these and other kits .... Here:
http://stealthdrums.com/

If you decide to add some Stealth Cymbals to this kit I can give you a quote for Stealth Cymbal Conversion kits for converting some cymbals like pictured to complete the package...

You can post in this thread, contact me via PM, or email at dajmando@yahoo.com
Since I have several choices on the kit configuration plus extras just let me know what you prefer ....
Thanks for taking your time ... Jerry

Noticed the new banner at the 2Box website with some more .dsnds now available. Musikmesse is happening now and I am looking forward to seeing the 2Box reports.

Since a few people have used my Stealth cymbal triggers with their Gen 16 AE cymbals I wanted to test this out myself. I picked up a used HH, Ride, Crash set with no pickups or DSP. Installing the triggers as others have mentioned is very easy. Since the Gen16 AEs already are filled with holes you only need to pick the position to mount using corresponding holes lined up with the box screws and clamp screws (if you use the additional edge switch clamps), put the brass screws in the cymbals and peel n stick the triggers, fasten the screws, washers, and nuts...... plug them into your module and play. The acoustic noise of the Gen16 AEs is actually less than with dampened regular acoustic cymbals, at least it is to me.

While I was at it I redesigned my current 2Box cymbal trigger. I found that by slightly modifying the way I wired things internally I could completely eliminate the extra choke strip assembly. As a side bonus, because of the rewiring I am pretty confident these will now be able to be made compatible for the Megadrum TMI modules. No promises on that yet, but I do have a new Stealth trigger version on the way to London where someone is going to beta test this for me.

The video link below is the performance Demo. I plan to upload an installation video later. Thanks for taking your time .... J

I also posted this at vdrums. All of the sudden over the weekend my on line storage site I had a lifetime unlimited membership to IS NO MORE. Consequently most of my links on my own Stealthdrums.com website as well as links I posted on the forums are useless. I had 8 years of files stored on the site. Videos, pictures, data, update files, etc. I do have almost all of the files still on my PC and a backup of the info from the storage site coming to me, so it is not all lost. But I'm sure I will never restore all the info that I have put up on the web over such a long period. I have purchased more on line storage from a new place. It will take quite a while to restore most of the newer files and links I feel are important ..... So .... all that just to say many of my pics, videos, and links I have already posted on the forum will be missing for a while ... J

I have 3 of my toms split on my module 1 and was looking at my trigger type and parameters I have things set to. I have the splashes and China from those split tom rims set to CYCup. Now if I were to change the trigger type for those I will not have CYCup available as a trigger type. CYCup is only available as a choice for the Cymbal inputs not the Tom inputs. Not that this is really that important .... evidently it was a choice I made while testing things out on a previous OS .... at least that is my guess. I can change it to Pad 8 or any of the trigger types available, set the parameters and my trigger response will be fine (they are only single zone cymbals anyway).

But I was just wondering if anyone knows if that trigger type was available as a choice for other inputs besides the tom rims in a previous OS .... Or how the heck did I get those split toms set up as CYCup for the rim pad ..... ????? I'm thinking EDTC might remember this .... J

General 2box Drumit 5 forum / Jman's NAMM trip 2013
January 26, 2013, 12:45:40 AM
Thought I would put a rundown here of my quick NAMM trip this year. Just an overview of what I saw and heard in my brief visit. Nothing in depth, but my personal insight/views.
I took a few pics, but even though the rotation orientation is fine on my PC they upload wrong, so I just zipped the pics in a folder and loaded them to my FTP. You can download the zip here:
https://files.secureserver.net/0sAs7e6uJ5TYJ5

1st off since this is the unofficial 2Box forum I'll talk 2Box. Had a couple pretty good visits with Bengt this year, spent some time on the kit and talking to Bengt and also Gary from HandinHand. The 2Box kit was at the Tama booth and it is exciting to see the opening up of this distribution door in the US. This should be big for the 2Box company and a good addition for Tama distributor Hoshino USA.

As we already knew the kit will be equipped with rubber heads for the US configuration. I played the kit and must say the heads feel pretty good. There were 2 different rubber heads being used. One is softer than the other. The decision has not been finalized as to which heads the kit will ship with, but there is talk of using the firmer head for snare with the slightly more giving head for toms .... that is the way it was set up at NAMM and I must say it felt pretty realistic that way.... the snare felt like a tight crisp and snappy snare while the tom felt more like how a real acoustic tom would feel with the feeling of laying into the head... pretty cool actually. Triggering was excellent on both heads. I enjoyed playing the kit, showing Bengt and Gary my Gene Krupa tom solo .... I could tell they were impressed, and I know they didn't mean it when they said Gene Krupa was turning over in his grave.  ;) ;D

The kits will come in 3 configurations. For the drummer that already has the Kick pedal, HH stand, and Snare stand covered, the kit can be purchased a la carte without those 3 hardware items. The other choices are with a Tama Single Kick Pedal, HH stand and Snare Stand. Lastly the same as the last one mentioned only with a Double Kick Pedal.

I will neither confirm nor deny that the 2Box module at NAMM had a 32GB card..... ;)
Bengt doesn't look a day older than he looked last year! :)

OK, Alesis DM Dock. I will try and bite my tongue here .... I lean toward tearing into this thing since it has shown up at NAMM 2 years in a row now and it was nowhere near being ready for show again this year. Thursday I sat down at the kit and tried to play it ..... OMG .... horrible, terrible latency, only single zone on ride and crashes, no edge zone, no choke .... I could go on to say even a no name Chinese knock off ekit would perform better, but I must hold off .... I am biting my tongue as I specifically went back to the show today to try and find out what the heck was going on. I was told this was the Alesis App and the Alesis App doesn't work well, but there will be other Apps, like from Garage Band and others, other programs and sounds that will work great .... I honestly hope to see that happen for them, so let's see what happens this year. I was told this was going to release this year, so let's hold our breath....

Pearl EPro is including new kits and those that already own it can download the latest.

Yamaha DTX 900 series will have an M after the 900 .... no longer will those owners need to buy and load their 500MBs of memory, it will come already stock/loaded from the factory. I had some time to talk with John Emrich. There is a new Yamaha Phoenix kit that will be loaded in the new DTX900M and that kit will also include some of the Zildjian Digital Vault cymbal sounds. I must say that Yamaha PHX kit in the DTX sounded pretty good .... beefy sounding low toms with good sustain ..... man, we just gotta hope John can get ahold of one of those PHX kits and sample it for BFD!

Aquarian In Head we have already been hearing about these.... and On Head .... OK so both In Head and On head are scheduled to hit the market finally with all the various sizes. For On Head for example: 8, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16" heads. The On Head heads are a pretty nice setup. They are pretty quiet and trigger very well. The new rim sensor is a piezo based sensor, but is encased in a special rubber, so it inserts under the rim ... it will work well with the On Head, since that is an FSR type head, you will not get crosstalk from the head when striking the rim. And the rubber creates enough of a padded buffer to allow good isolation also.

Roland's BT-1 .... there has already been quite a bit of talk about this one. My original reaction in my mind before playing this was ..... ehhhhh another little single zone side pad .... why? Then after finding out just how this thing works I had a whole lot more respect for this little guy. It is not your typical, stick a piezo in a piece of plastic or metal, stuff it like a turkey, wrap it like a rubber burrito and plug it in type of a thing. This is actually a cool little side pad that gets some respect from me. It is a dual piezo device, with a type of switching mech built in .... it comes with mounting hardware so you can mount it on an L rod, to a stand, etc .... and you can also mount it directly to a lug on your snare or tom. It WILL NOT SUFFER FROM CROSSTALK..... that's right, unless you actually hit this thing directly you will not trigger it. Had a good chance to test it on the kit Steve Fisher was using, pretty amazing little thing. Had a good chance to catch up with Steve and Drew .... good guys....

Mark Drum is adding new kits/instruments, software improvements for deeper dynamics I was told. Your drums/sounds will have to come directly through Mark Drum though. I was told they will not be going in the direction of making it an editable program capable of loading your own or other 3rd party sounds.

Dauz .... met up with Dan Dauz ... looks like he is getting more active again in edrums. He makes an extremely durable epad..... there are lot of Dauz pads out there that have outlived the Rock dummer that was using em....

I'm sure I'm forgetting some ... but I'll come back if I think of something else. J

I'm heading to Winter NAMM 2013 Thursday. I try to hit all the booths that are electronic drum oriented to start with. So I'll be sure to report back on what's new for 2013. J

Now available for the Drumit Three and Drumit Five!

My original ad was for the Extender only. I now am also selling the full Stealth 2Box 32GB Card Mod kit which is explained above the 2nd picture.

Here is the original info about the extender only:
I posted this last month before the recent little site crash. I bought myself a few more of these and have some extras. Price is $25 including shipping if you are in the CONUS. $35 including shipping for most other countries. If you are planning to do the card extender mod and need one of these, just send me a PM if interested. These work with cards including 32GB .... don't worry about the 16GB label, they are all like that, but work for 32GB. I use the same one. Please be sure your module is running Boot Loader 1.30 or later, the earlier 1.10 boot loader may not be compatible: http://www.2box-forum.com/index.php/topic,191.0.html

Here is the info on the full Stealth 2Box 32GB Plug N Play Mod Kit:
I have compatible 32GB cards, tested and prepped, just plug in and play, more info in posts below. Send me a Personal message if interested. The price for the full Plug n Play mod kit is $75 plus shipping. It comes with the card plug n play ready for the 2Box module. Including all the original 2Box kits plus every extra kit, sounds, songs, loops, etc. that are available for download on the net. The 2 new eNerd packs are also included! And whether you own the Drumit Three or the Drumit Five .... the entire sound library for both modules is on the Card! The latest OS is already installed. Simply do the mod, plug in the card and you have many more sounds and kits than would fit on the original 2Box module, and plenty of room to add more. I give you a link to the instruction file complete with step by step instructions and pictures to guide you through the installation of the card mod kit for the Drumit Five and the Drumit Three. Just thought I'd post this in case anyone was thinking of picking up any VST programs or expansions. Toontrack stuff is 50% off right now. You won't find the sale through the Toontrack on line shop or through all retailers, but the sale is out there. In the US Audio Deluxe is running it for one.
http://audiodeluxe.com/
Just looking on eBay UK the prices are discounted too .... so US and Europe:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=Toontrack&_sacat=See-All-Categories
The only SD2 packs I don't own are the Roots packs, but even at 50% off I will still prolly take a pass on it  :-\ From what I've read this one is prolly the least tempting for me personally.

So, I went ahead and bought a few auctions of these..... Take a look at my link, there are 2 different sellers. Do not buy any of these if they are in the type of packaging you see in these sales, they are FAKE, not Genuine. The performance speeds are about 10 times slower than the Genuine. The Labels are not the shiny Gold original ... a fake yellowish embossed label..... Just thought I'd mention it before you waste your time. They are FAKE CRAP!

So, stick to the Genuine Lexar in original packaging is my suggestion!

After building the more basic, pratical, default kit dsnds for my 2Box module I like to build what I concider my "fun" "headphone" kits. Here is a video with some of these kits. The DW, Tamburo, Pearl Masterworks, and Vistalite kits are the same exact toms and kicks I have used for my previous video with different presets and mixer settings used in BFD2 before recording. I also have some new Yamaha kits in this vid.... thanks for taking your time, J

OK .... I'm onto the next phase of my sound building adventures for my modules. Thought I'd go ahead and put up a video that has some of the new kit sounds and also get a little more detailed on how my new 2Box drum and cymbal conversion kits perform ... It's a pretty long video ... about 17 minutes, 190MB's or so, but I do go into quite a bit of detail and quite a few new BFD kits and Dig. Vault cymbal sounds ... you can right click and save to your computer if you don't have blazing download speed .... thanks for taking your time .... J

I put this up in another thread today. But thought I would place it here so it might not get buried so quickly. This is NO BIG DEAL as you can make your own MIDI sequences quickly with DSoundTool or other programs, but I thought I would save some time for anyone that cares to use them. For SD .... Just extract the files to your computer, import them, any ones you want or all of them,  into your EZ Player MIDI sequences ... There are a bunch of different sequences.
Some 7 hit (fine for HH foot splash IMO), 16 hit, 20 hit, 33 hit, 49 hit, 70 hit, and 98 hit. The first numbers indicate the number of hits, like 332C is 33 hits, 2 second gap between hits ... and c just tells me it is built with the latest DSoundtool:
Here is a zip folder you can save to your computer:

I can honestly say I don't have G A S (Gear Acquisition Syndrome) this Christmas. Well, I suppose it has a lot to do with the huge amount of edrum equiptment and VST software I've already procured the past several months.....

But since the posts seem a little slow right now I thought I would start a thread asking the age old question ...... What do you want for Christmas?
