Thanks JMan, I have a midi to usb cable. Will it work with Logic Pro X? I was wondering if there were anyone here that has done it?
Yes, I've done that using Roland UM1 midi/USB interface.

Also how do I set up the module and and the computer for midi?
AFAIR it was just plug-n-play. When you connect cable to module midi out/midi in sockets and the usb interface to your Mac, you should see it in you Utilities -> Audio Midi Setup / Window / Show Midi Studio, where you can test connection making loop. Logic Pro AFAIK should detect it when you launch it next time. The rest is mapping the midi notes, but you can try to search other post for this, I remember changing some of them for hihat mapping.

Hi,

You can try it for sure, the mesh head is like any normal mylar head, you can rotate it without problems.

Hello Janis, and thanks for the info. Does the mixer feed a PA/FOH, or does it feed a drum monitor? Any info on that would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
L
Hi Louis,

The mixer feeds PA (an old TAPCO Juice J800). As speakers I have Wharfedale SVP-15B Pro 15" sub in A channel of PA + Wharfedale EVP 15"/1" passive monitor in high pass output of the sub. So the setup is mono, but has some juice in it ;)
That is my home / small venue setup.

For larger stage so far the most practical way (as often there is shortage of balanced inputs on stage) has been connecting this small mixer to the main mixer using 2 ch stereo output. The sound guys can control overall sound and if needed can come over to small mixer and adjust instruments individually.

Hi, wildhorse

I use a small cheap Behringer MX802A Eurorack 8 ch mixer. It's doing the job perfectly for me. I use all 4 mono and both stereo channels in my setup:
1. Kick
2. Hihat
3. Snare (panned in mixer to left)
4. Snare (panned in mixer to right)
5. Toms (stereo)
6. Toms (stereo)
7. Cymbals (stereo)
8. Cymbals (stereo)

Mixer is connected with module using a 3m multicore: http://www.adamhall.com/en/Adam_Hall_Cables_3_Star_Series_-_Multicore_Cable_8_x_6.3_mm_Jack_mono_to_8_x_6.3_mm_Jack_mono_3_m.html
It's placed near enough to control both by myself and sound man should it be necessary. It definitely is doing the job and I have used it both in small venues and on stage outside.
Rgds,
Janis

Setup guides and tips / Re: Drum it kick drum
September 30, 2016, 07:10:43 AM
Hi,

There are several posts about solution to wobbly kick drum in Drumit Hardware .
Here is one of them.
http://www.2box-forum.com/index.php/topic,794.0.html
Generally speaking, there have been three approaches to this problem: 1) additional support from the top of the kick pad (with optional second horizontal bar near the kick pad) - without modifying the pad, 2) stand alone kick with self constructed spikes (or frame), which are bolted to kick pad (involves drilling and modifying the pad) and 3) stand alone kick which is fixed to standard three-leg cymbal or snare stand using additional supports.
I use the hybrid of 1) and 3).

Hi,

Yes, SDSE installs in Windows OS.
As for the rest, AFAIR the Reaper and DSoundTool will also be installed in SDSE installation process (or at least they are as options you can select).
And yes, you have to install in Windows Superior Drummer plugin for Reaper afterwards.

That's just how I remember, hopefully SDSE creator Lustark will explain you better  ;).

Hi and welcome!

To save the kit, you have to enable saving (it is disabled by default as precaution for owner's sake)
Go to UNIT -> PREF and select On with knob and press it.

Hi,

Have you checked the extender cable (broken or interference)? Maybe the card is not firmly in the slot?
If you place SD card directly in a slot of module, does the problem stay?
If this doesn't help, try to put card in a PC and see what PC reads.

Hi,

Where the problem started - with unzipping files or with transferring unzipped files to module?

Anyone noticed the now OS update?
It's a minor update, still goood news to all of us  :)
Thanks 2box!

Update.Something is wrong. Download contains the same OS 1.30 bin file. So it's only the text about update, but no download...  :-\

DKit Manager is PC only, I'm on the Mac....

2box Drumit Five Editor is both for PC and Mac.

Wish me luck!

John

Wish you luck both with multimeter and module :)

Hi,

I haven't got such problems, but instead of you I would find a multimeter to check if the power supply still supplies specified 18 V AC, 9 VA (500 mA). If it does, then the module itself apparently is damaged.
Is the module still under warranty?
