If you copy just DrumItOS1.32.0.bin toDrumitFive module, the previous trigger settings will be preserved, the module will the new OS, but you'll also keep the original DrumitFive 100 kits. Therefore, to use newly downloaded sounds, you'll have to manually create new dkit files which will then appear as single kits. .

When you copy also the new globalconfig file, apart from other settings it will also bring the whole set of DrumitThree kits to you module.

At least such was my experience.

Greetings,

I'ts all right, I didn't mean you made a mistake, just wanted to remind myself what was that most important parameter for D5 cards :)
As for longer tests, I was too quick reporting myself when after couple of weeks realized stuttering of samples and I couldn't trust this card anymore.

I purchased 1 of the SanDisk Ultra  SDHC UHS-1 Card speed is up to 80 MB/s 533x the fist one i put into the card extender works perfectly.  So I purchased another 2 because they were $12.49 each. Seems to be a great card.

It's an access time not the speed which is most important.
Also use it for some time (at least a month) before reporting - they can work brilliantly at the beginning but degradation can start later.

Hi.
Well at least I can tell you that I'm -not- working on a hint or a kit :-)
So yeah...

It must be module, then  8)

Card Content here:

Note there's no manual yet. Most sounds are the same as the drumit 5

Thanks for sharing 8)
I suppose content is compatible with DrumitFive module, but OS is not?

As for module settings I think it's in Kit -> ENV where you can shorten Decay value for toms.

As for the choosing the right kit, I think it was Ludwig Stainless Steel Kit (from BFD3 - if I am not mistaken) which has fat, dampened toms.

Then this apparently is not your problem.
Extender cable is used in this 16/32GB card mod:
http://www.2box-forum.com/index.php/topic,991.0.html

Have you checked AC power adapter?

Have you installed 16/32GB card with extender cable?
Poor isolation of the cable inside module can cause interference.

Hi,

AFAIK vex kits for Roland are "improved" settings which make sound more natural those synthesized sounds of the module.
For sampled real sounds it is not so much necessary, especially for 2box module since it doesn't have so many different settings.
For Mimic Pro at least you can play with different mics, positions, etc.

Im a new 2boxer and the first thing I did was get on ebay and get a sd extension cable and 32gb card, spot on but ive just about filled it lol,

I've also finally filled mine 32 Gigs ::)

Initially on original 4 GB card I tried to find kits which I didn't like, mapped them against all sounds/source kits they referenced to and calculated possible gains by removing any of the source kits. Obviously, the electronic stuff takes much less than sampled analogue kits and is not worth removing. In result I cleared enough space for 3 eNerd's RP1000 kits ;)

Hi dragonz,

I've mapped the sounds against kits they're included, sharing through Google Docs:

Looks like good offer to me. Have to check sounds later with earphones and perhaps will buy  :)
Thanks!

The default sound for metronome is from Percussion one of cowbells (Latin Salsa Bell?).

To change the sound in UNIT mode find page METR and select a sound by rotating the left DATA controller (see in manual page 58).
It is a global setting that applies to all kits.

So unless there will be a 5+ or 6 version of 2box replacing the current Five...I think the price will remain on the current level.

Agree. As I am using complete D5 kit not the module alone with some A/E kit and playing live through all 8 available outputs, the value of new D3 for me is lower than of D5. As for "universal trigger inputs" - I regularly use Roland pads for toms plus additional cymbal from Yamaha without problems whatsoever.
